Tony Bennett
Oh ok gents i will stick my head up over the parapet and say. i will be building this one. i can have a play with tinfoil or aluminium tape to cover it all. plus the bubble canopy will make it that little bit different. Tony.

Tony Bennett
I have only restarted modeling in the last 4 years as i had a 40 year layoff after an unfortunate incident with a single channel trainer at age 13. it took off and never came back, then my sport got in the way and motorbikes, girls, marriage and kids. so i came back into the hobby 4 years ago and have been slowly getting up to speed with this building lark. this will be my first proper scale build with details that i don't normally bother with, like rivets. fingers crossed it turns out good enough for showing on here. Nigel Day
So the Shackleton is just something you've knocked up in your spare time then Tony? I'll be following for sure. Edited By Nigel Day on 01/06/2014 10:59:

Glenn Stratton
I notice hub covers Tony, that gets round the wheel hub dilemma nicely, and no strut fairings to make either!
Andrew Price 2
So, after a little practice excursion - knocking up a quick Shakleton - you now feel confident to take on a Chippie!! Yeah right. Signing in and looking forward to another quality "Bennett Build".
Tony Bennett
the shackleton is not very scale gents. its more stand off scale and as i want to push myself, i thought a fully scale chippy might fit the bill.
Tony Bennett
i shall be chipping away at getting scale details correct on this one.

Tony Bennett
i hope mine does not end up chip fat with too much weight from detailing. want lights as well.
Andrew Price 2
No Tony. It will be the scale Mars Bar filled cadet in the back seat that will put the weight into the model.
john stones 1 - Moderator
How are you going to make canopy then Tony ? or will it be a bought one, also will it be sliding ? John
Tony Bennett
i do not know at the moment. might have to modify a mustang canopy to suit, sliding yes, powered sliding not sure.
