Kevin Fairgrieve
I know that Danny is hopping to do a full "walkaround" set of pictures, but for now here are a few to be getting on with. I was at Cosford Airshow last week, and was able to take a number of pictures of guess what? Chipmunks. Here are a few tasters in low resolution. The rest of the low resolution pictures are here. Portuguese Chipmunk. If you want the full fat jpeg images then please PM me and I will provide you with a link to the ZIP file containing the rest. For this particular aircraft that is 41 images. 243mb in size. More aircraft to follow soon. David P Williams
Good to see an old friend Kevin - I was involved in the rebuild of 1365 at Spanhoe probably about 10 years ago. The cowlings on the floor are obviously not Chipmunk - we were restoring a Bucker Jungmeister at the same time. A few pics of this aircraft's sister - 1367 - are in my album here
Danny Fenton
Great pics Kev, well done for posting them. I will arrange to get behind the rope on the Cosford Chippy but haven't yet, many other things going on and we have until October Why are all the nav lights the same as the Hurricane wish I had moulded them now Cheers Danny Edited By Danny Fenton on 11/06/2014 16:36:
Nigel Day
Thanks Kevin very helpful. I reckon I should be able to duplicate the covering on that tailfin without too much problem.

Mark Winstanley
Hi Guys; these are certainly nice shots with lots of detail. The Portuguese chippy used to have the registration G-BARS (Romeo Sierra). This chipmunk used to be one of two at Hawker Siddeley Aviation Chester flying club. I had several lessons in Romeo Sierra and am looking for photos in order to duplicate the colour scheme on a 1/4 scale model. Does anyone have any photos? A search of the web has revealed a few bad photos that I can work with but better photos would be appreciated. Thanks for listening Mark Winstanley. Trevor Rushton
I built my Airsail Chippie 3-4 years ago - this site might be helpful in terms of photographs - a lot of detail here. Trevor
Pete B
You might have to browse for some pictures but there are a couple of threads on PPRuNe which have a fair bit of info about the Chippie, here and here. Pete
Nigel Day
I took a few whilst I was at Newquay I've got hi-res versions too so if you want any, pm me and I can send you a zipped set. Nigel
Nigel Day
I'd heard of Cosford but never paid too much attention being down here in Cornwall. Imagine my delight when I was on holiday last week in Bridgnorth and found that it was only up the road! It was a bonus to find that it was free (well, aside from the car parking and had-to-do donation. Shame that I picked the one day in probably five years when the catering facilities were closed because they were changing caterers. I really could have done with a refuelling session half way through so didn't give the second half the attention it deserved. Still I did get to the Chippie.and took a few photos. Hi-res ones available in a zip file if anyone wants them

Danny Fenton
Well done Nigel, that's the Chipmunk I think I am doing. I have a contact at Cosford that will let me crawl under the barrier to get some pics, but the more pics the merrier Kevin can you PM me the link to your hi res ones please? Cheers Danny
Kevin Fairgrieve
All. I am in the process of uploading my hi res pictures to a sharing site. I will make the links available to any one who requests them. Kev
Kevin Fairgrieve
As I do when I am out and about I am on the lookout for anything of interest. So for the rivet counter`s STOP, and start counting the screws as well!!!!! The others are here in low res. Kev
Nigel Day
Good job that there's an article in the next mag about doing screw heads eh Danny?
Danny Fenton
Funnily enough...... no lol but they are domed rivets with slots they come in a bottle, so never fear shouldn't be a problem. Looks like that one must have gone on its back Kev? Hope they got out okay..... Cheers Danny

Mark Winstanley
Hi Guys; I know this is not Chipmunk related but - does anyone have any detailed photos of a Miles Magister? There aren't many of those over here in Canada. Mark.
