Jon H
ah right ok. I have always wanted a turbine vampire....this might be the ticket as it seems better priced than most of the others.
Trevor Rushton
Looking good Charles; planking looks impressive. Should soak up all of that sanding sealer quite well! T

Chas Morgan
Hi Jon Yes and it is very good kit all the cart parts fit exactly there are good instructions but with just one or two areas were they could be more helpful, but I hope to put some of my thoughts on a later posting of areas where I deviated from the instructions, but overall I think it is a brilliant kit very well designed and excellent value for money
Jon H
Sounds good! I might have missed it in my skim through the thread but what powerplant will she have?
Chas Morgan
It will have the Wren 44, Wren turbines are brilliant and British!!
Chas Morgan
Got u/C retracts in and all working including steerable front wheel. Just need to do sanding to these parts and make a neat blister for the main gear and hatch cover for the front leg. It was quite tricky, but am pleased with it. Chas Morgan
Just put on the control surfaces today, painting took rather a lot of concentration, so no progress pictures before this one!! still have to do some more painting work on the fuselage. Chas Morgan
I decided to have two tail servos so I have split the elevator to make the servos independent and I will use two receivers and two radio batteries.
Chas Morgan
Nearly there, unfortunately there is a hold up with the turbine which now might not arrive untill the New Year, apart from that the Vampire is all but complete. Chas Morgan
I shall be starting on a build of a quarter scale Olympia 2b soon has anybody built one. I used to have a share in a full sized one so I hope to copy that.
Chas Morgan
The turbine has arrived and I have fitted it, all went well. I found one day when the weather was just okay so went up to the field and after having a check the weather flight with another model decided that although a little windy I would try the maiden flight. The Vampire flew really well, I was really relieved and pleased. I very much recommend this aircraft it proved an absolute delight to fly.
