Wiltshire Flyer
**LINK**as per thread title really, I keep looking at the tail area and wondering if it is indeed an unfinished B-17?
cymaz
I keep thinking is ambitious to assume its ww2 from what little there is ! However, WF, have a look at a b17 tail and there is a long section that comes along the top of the fus in front of the tail. This one doesn't have that. Bob Merrett
I would say not a Zero. The trailing edge of the elevators should be in line with the hinge line of the vertical stabiliser, which should be a bit more rounded if so.
leccyflyer
Looks like a Pilot Zero to me - the internal structure at the front end certainly fits the bill and the general look is pretty close, as are the undercarriage mountings. Not a sign of any nacelle mounting for it to be a B-17 and the fuselage would be wildly out of proportion.
