Josip Vrandecic -Mes
That model L-39 is designed to be relatively light weight and with the pilot Mr. Hinton it's a recipe for great entertainment ... Thanks Dom .
Dom (Essential RC)
Cheers Jos. Trust you are well buddy. Mark has flown some superb stuff the last few years. Always great to watch him fly his jets.
Dom (Essential RC)
Flying the new E-Flite UMX Yak 54 3D up close but outside this time. A gentle breeze is normally tough on a super light indoor model like this but the AS3X stabilisation system really takes most of the turbulence out of the flying experience. A great little model to have under the desk for the occasional "smoke" break.
Dom (Essential RC)
More action from Ragley Hall, Festival of Flight. Christoph Hemming puts on a stunning display with his large scale "HUEY".
Dom (Essential RC)
200+ flights later and I can honestly say this is the RC product of the year for me. It's opened my eyes to a totally different RC flying experience. So here are some repair tips and upgrade recommendations...
Dom (Essential RC)
After seeing recent race coverage I've been wanting to try out FPV multi-rotor/quad/drone racing. This was my first step. I researched and selected the FossilsStuff Gravity 250. It's made of HDPE and therefore practically unbreakable...so much so that the manufacturer will replace the airframe if it gets broken beyond repair. Part 2 and 3 will follow with my attempts at some high speed racing and 3D...
Dom (Essential RC)
Reflecting on a great year for my little YouTube channel/Facebook group. Dom (Essential RC)
UK Drone Show: Some very clever technology and programming of these Bebop drones enables them to dance around one another without colliding. Great to watch!
Dom (Essential RC)
UK Drone Show: The most unique looking drone at the show and bristling with features that make it one of the most functional and good looking drones on the market. Features one button take off and return to home, optional 'Wii' style gesture based control, pause function, safe user distance, safe max distance, 5km video streaming, long 23 minute flight time, orbit mode, cable cam mode, follow-me mode, HD and 4K stabilised video capture...and the arms and legs pack away for easy transportation. Dom (Essential RC)
The Parrot Team definitely brought the fun factor to the UK Drone Show with their leading edge tech drones and planes. The Swing can easily take-off, transition from hovering to forward flight and back to hover for landing with the gyro system that maintains stability of the plane throughout. McG 6969
Phil, please don't be 'fooled'. Have a look at the 'composition' of the videos. This is pure 'marketing' hammering. Social media, HK logo... everything is there for the sublimation of the 'Essential' product... Maybe I should also think about having some 'nombrilistic' embroidery on my next sweat shirt as well. Cheers Chris
Dom (Essential RC)
The guys from FirstPersonView give a demo of the DJI Inspire 2 with Zen Muse X5S camera/gimbal. An advanced platform for the professional aerial videographer.
Dom (Essential RC)
This is a first! A drone that can actually shoot from its onboard cannon while it is flying. Only small balls and not with any real force but still very fun to try and knock down objects while you fly it line of sight. It also has a grabber accessory that can be used by pilots to try and pick up small light objects.
Dom (Essential RC)
The guys from FirstPersonView give a demo of the amazing, MUCH anticipated DJI Mavic Pro...and it didn't disappoint.

Jon H
I watched your 'incidents and accidents' video yesterday and saw myself at wings n wheels! It did amuse me that the only really naff landing i did with that model all year was the one that made it into your video and all the perfect ones were forgotten! Oh well, the wind at wings n wheels this year was pretty nasty anyway so more or less any landing without damage was a win
Dom (Essential RC)
Which model Jon? I actually very rarely post a 'crash' vid as I don't catch that many incidents in a season of shows and events. Let me know which model and I can ensure we catch a great flight next season
Jon H
This one, I am sure you have seen it before
Dom (Essential RC)
Certainly have! I look forward to catching it in my viewfinder next year. Have a good Christmas.
Jon H
Cheers Dom I hope to have worked the bugs out of my Sea Fury by next year as well so that might also be coming to a viewfinder near you I am trying to convince my boss to get us a stand at weston park. A slot of Laser V powered warbirds would be lovely as well but i fear that will be a bridge too far!
