Simon Chaddock
Every so often somebody produces a model that seems to move the boundaries that bit further. Glenn your Vulcan is a truly spectacular use of 3mm Depron and shows what can be done. It has certainly set me thinking. Please let us know how it flies. Glenn Moore
I will post pictures and video when the time comes, probably a couple of weeks away yet so there is plenty of time for the weather to turn ugly as it has for most of my other builds.Fixed the radome to the tail now so I can get on with painting the back end, I used blue foam for this as it is easier to shape
Andy Pickford
Glen.I've had the pleasure of looking around the Vulcan at RAF Leuchars airshow this weekend. Your model looks fantastic. It was amazing to see it fly it was a shame it couldnt during the show because of the weather. I was lucky enough to be stood by the side of the runway when it took off on sunday morning. Stunning!!!!!I hope you could take a video when you fly it for the first time.Andy
Glenn Moore
The sound of a Vulcan at full power is a joy to behold
Aero120
Especially the intake roar at full throttle whilst stationary! However 655 doesn't do it due to slightly differences in the geometry of the intake and the shape of the front of the engine
Papa
Glenn, you have a beautiful model of a beautiful original. We were fortunate to have a vulcan many times at our airshow here in Toronto when they were operational. Not Nimrod or the B52 can come close to the majestic sight and glorious sound of a Vulcan at full chat climbing out over Lake Ontario.Would your model lend itself to four 50mm EDF units?Jack Higgins. Glenn Moore
A couple of years ago a guy called Terry built a 72" model with four EDF setup it flies very well if a little under powered, he also built a Valiant and Victor at the same scale, all great models
Mike Surman
Glenn superb model carn't wait to see it airborne
Aero120
Glenn, It really looks the part, very impressive. Do you think the intakes could spoil the airflow over the wing and into the motors? I've got a set of plans for a IC pusher version of the vulcan and whilst considering building it I wondered whether it would be worth sheeting the intakes with a thin clear plastic so the air could flow smoothly over them. Stephen Stokes
Can't wait to see this one fly, will you be posting any video on You-Tube?
Glenn Moore
Hi Paul, as the motors and esc's are mounted in the exhausts the air flowing through the wing will help to keep everything cool, it doesnt make a lot of difference to the flying as we are not looking for high performance a bit more drag doesnt hurt.Stephen, there will be pictures and video and it will be linked to through the forum

Glenn Moore
At the moment I am working on getting this one finished. As soon as it is ready for flight I will get on with drawing plans and will probably do another build log to suit the smaller size as it will be better made in one piece

Dusty
Glenn thats a beauty! Nice panel lines, what did you use to get that effect?
Glenn Moore
Panel lines are done gently with a pencil then shaded with oil pastels. I need a bit more practice to get the technique just right
