On the other hand - if its the ARTF - then you'll find the captive nuts are very shallow (i.e. very little thread) and poorly-made (the nylon bolts supplied with my Acro Wot just spun when they were even lightly tightened and then vibrated loose when the model was still on the ground!).

Is an easy and quick mod to carefully tap the crap ones out and fit decent 6mm ones with longer necks in their place.

Richard said "They are imperial 1/4-20. " and Imperial means Whitworth or BSF. However an ARTF is surely more likely to have American threads such as UNC which also has a 1/4 by 20 size but it's not the same thread as Whitworth! UNC and UNF have a 60 degree angle of thread while Whitworth and BSF have 55 degrees, so they are not interchangeable but a nylon bolt might work OK..

Threaded insert nuts can also be obtained from Screwfix and they are threaded into the wood ( unlike those shown by Denis which are splined) using an allen key. M6 cost £2.35 for 50. They also do T nuts at £1.49 for 10.

Toolstation sell M6 T nuts at £1.13 for 10.
