Michael Adams 3
Hi, every one, thanks for all the info you have given me in the past, Piggy back system. This is a new one, the release system that we have tried is operated with a servo in the plane, it is now no longer available, it just wont work any more, have any of you done this in the past or are doing it now? I have had a good look on you tube where there is some but can't see how it is operated except for some rubber bands over the glider wings, any info will be most well come. Also a plan if available. Thanks again. Mike.
Michael Adams 3
HI, I forgot to mention the plane in my photo is a full size, it was used in the war and still has a bullet hole in the bottom of the fuse, it is flying from our strip where it is kept. just great to watch when we are there. Mike.
KiwiKid
Hi Michael, here's a link to a commercial product marketed by Esprit: **LINK** They provide some rather detailed instructions which shows how it works utilising a tow release and could probably help you scratch build something similar. Richard Harris
Michael, If you get chance have a look at my thread HERE on this very forum, it is a primitive but perfectly functional method that has given many hours of service for next to nothing. There is also a video I made of it working and releasing. Rich Edited By Richard Harris on 30/05/2017 22:48:
