WayneB
I’m putting together a Limbo Dancer fun fly model for class 2, which uses a 3cell set up. Not wanting to re invent the wheel, does anybody have a set up they already know that works ? (Eg- prop size, motor, battery choice). I believe finished they are in the 1600g weight bracket. thanks for any info. Regards Wayne.
Keith Berriman
I always read the spec that' it needs a 4 cell or even 5 cell battery at 1.8kg If some has the spec for 3 cell please let us know
Shaun Walsh
SLEC recommend Engine : 2826 Brushless or similar Battery 4S 3300 Lipo with a 60Amp ESC for the Limbo Dancer kit
kc
It seems that Fun Fly Class 2 competitions require a 3S. For nornal sport flying a 4S would seem better. But somebody must know what setup is used for 3S competitions........ Edited By kc on 10/02/2020 16:56:
Mike Bell
Hi Wayne, here's my setup that I've used at the Nats the last few years Battery 3S 2200 35C Motor Turnigy D3548/4 1100kv - cheap as chips but does the job. If you want to go posh the E-flight Power32 is really good. Prop is a 13x6.5 (for the Turnigy) ESC is a Turnigy Plush 60 or 70 amp. Limbo Dancer is fine but keep it light. If you need any more info on Fun Fly let me know. Mike

Trevor
Just shows how times have changed! When I built my Limbo Dancer back in the last millennium, it was powered by 16 sub-C NiCd batteries, weighing 2lb. I put an extra rib bay on each wing to help carry the all-up weight of 5lb. It would just about prop hang, flew for 10 minutes of mixed aerobatic flying - and got me through my B test. So, in spite of being somewhat hadicapped by the technology of the day, was still a successful model.
Mike Bell
I fly own designs but you see Limbos and a lot of Fusions (Evolution Models) Stay clear of Jives, they are ok sports models but too heavy for serious fun fly.
