Mitch
New to the hobby. Just bought the 60 drastick. Trying to figure out what servos, Transmitter and engine to run
EarlyBird
Welcome to the forum Mitch, On my Phil Kraft Das Ugly Stik I used standard Hitec servos HS-311. Engine are you going ic or electric? As you are new then the best advise is to join a club and make full use of an instructor. They can also advise you on a suitable Tx that they can buddy with. Have fun. perttime
If it is what I think it is, it might work OK as a second plane. For a first one, something with more stability reserves would be much better. Anyway, I second the idea of joining a club and getting some hands-on training. Many clubs have models that a newbie can train on ... I think.
GrumpyGnome
If that's the Texas RC model, and you are new to rc, it's almost certainly going to end in an expensive disaster pretty quickly. Sorry. Please find a local club where it is safe to fly, talk to the club instructor(s) and follow their advice before spending any more money.
