cymaz
I’ve notice on a couple ARFTs the clear top layer ( a bit like clear cellophane) is coming away. I'm sure there are other planes like this. Anyone found a solution to the issue of RC decals peeling?
Andy Gates
Lamfilm over the top. Same over the leading edge to stop the edges catching and lifting in the airflow.
Jon H
I have had success with some zap canopy glue (or similar) thinned to the consistency of milk and then applied between the layers with a small paint brush. Smooth it down the a paper towel, and if it needs a little more a covering iron can get it all smoothed out. Make sure there is no oil or dirt between the layers before you try this and i recommend you start with a cool iron and work up the temp as needed.
Mr Ficky
I used the following sealing pen that I think I got from the RCHut in South Wales. From memory it'll do about 3 planes and cost around £15.
