Help need on Spektrum code

Been trying to transfer models from my DX8 Gen 2 to my Dx6 Gen 2 

I finally downloaded all my models on a sd card from my Dx8 and the download OK back onto my Dx 8 but if I try to download them on to my Dx6 I get a message in my Dx 6 saying 

"2 DX8 G2 FILES NOT DX6 "

Does that nean they are not compatable !!!!

Are there any DX8 firmware update files on the sd card?

No it was a brand new sd card brought today

It may be that 2 of your models are using more than 6 channels? try a few moidels at a time.

You were right Kieth .All the models on my Dx8 where using 8 channels .Just put a 4 channel model on my Dx 8 and it work .I was trying to download an 8 channel on yo a 6 channel transmitter DOH !!!
