Rich Griff
I am still a beginner in electric powered propulsion. I am still researching this subject for converting smallish balda free flight and foamies to RC. Microaces do tiny light wieght rc stuff but none of my present tx's will drive Thier stuff. Please, I need advice on flysky tx/Rx equipment. Do these sets need a computer/internet to set them up etc.. Freeware ???? All help greatly appreciated. Thanks
leccyflyer
Note that Frsky and Flysky are two entirely different systems. The Microaces radio systems are available in both flavours, as well as Futaba and Spektrum protocols.
GrumpyGnome
Flysky uses a version of OpenTx and afaik all setup is done on the transmitter. FrSky use OpenTx, EdgeTx or Ethos, depending on the model. Afaik, all setup can be done on the Tx, although Companion (freeware) allows you to do setup on a laptop/pc, which is easier/better as you can more easily see what's going on.
