toto
Addictive isn't it. Definitely a bigger shed for next year. Toto 1
Brian Cooper
The way our weather patterns are changing, summer (lol) might become the time for building new models, while winter becomes the time to go out to fly them.
leccyflyer
I'm just hoping that we get a good September, which has yielded some marvellous flying days in the past, judging by the club's photo albums. It's certainly the case that it has got wetter and windier over the past few decades and it's something that we have to cope with, or we'd never fly. That said, despite a dismal July, I'd comfortably exceeded the number of logged flights of last year, by the beginning of June this year.
toto
With regards 5o the Kestrel, I was looking through the plane etc and had q couple of questions. 1. Dihedral .... I cant wee any mention of any offset for this. Am I to assume that the wing I'd flat ? 2. Motor mount / firewall. I have been looking to see by how much this needs 5o be offset. Any pointers on this ? Maybe I am missing some info somewhere or I'm barking up the wrong tree. Any help appreciated. At this stage I'm just reading ahead of time to get my bearings. No where near ready to start wo no worries on that front. Cheers Toto
Ron Gray
1. No dihedral - the plans show a flat wing. 2. 1º down thrust, no side thrust
toto
Many thanks Ron, Should have picked up on that 1 degree downthrust. That clarifies things nicely. Cheers Toto
