Richard Acland
A question regarding the OS 743 silencer. On some silencers there is a small hexagonal screw with a very small hole in it almost opposite the exhaust inlet. I am not talking about the pressure take off nipple. Any idea why that is. Denis Watkins
There was an optional Brass Priming Nozzle Richard, screwed in place to allow priming, obviously never caught on.

Richard Acland
Thanks for the replies, I assume if it was a priming port you would need a hypodermic needle to fit the hole.
GaryW
@Richard Acland,, I've just checked with a friend whos an engine boff and he's come back with "" It was for priming the engine. Not needed and can be blanked off or it will spurt exhaust oil everywhere. "" Cant say i ever used it to prime my FSR's i just put a squirt down the carb to prime them Edited January 20 by GaryW
