Handyman
I have a OS FX .91 glow engine which I bought from the BMFA Auction. I am looking for a silencer, as there was no silencer with it. The silencer mounting holes need to be 42mm apart to suit this engine, I have tried several suppliers for a suitable silencer, but no joy so far. I dont have a part number for it, but I have an Evolution .61 that has a silencer that would fit it and it has mounting holes set exactly at 42mm so even a silencer from an evolution engine should fit, as long as the spacings for the mounting bolts are 42mm apart. So here's hoping that someone can help me out, but in the meantime I will continue to search the web.

While the silencer is out of stock they may be able to give you a supply date. This link also gives you the OS part number of the silencer. Andy Stephenson
Handyman, The silencers for the Irvine 61 and 72 MkII are virtually identical to the OS 91FX one. They all have 42mm bolt pitch. A search for one of those may get you what you need. Just engines don't have them though so you will need to look elsewhere. ETA, Sussex have these, not the fully quiet type but available from supplier stock which usually means a couple of days. It looks compatible but you will need to check the bolt pitch. https://sussex-model-centre.co.uk/products/91601a-sc-silencer-91-108-mkii Edited November 28 by Andy Stephenson
Engine Doctor
The range of SC engines just reintroduced are OS clones and a spare silencer should be readily available . Perkins are distributors so any / most m9del shops shouldbe able to supply one. Or try Perkins direct, Probably a lot cheaper than an OS part. Andy Stephenson
OS want about 50 quid for one but the alternatives are half the price.
