David Ashby - Moderator
Kyosho distribute to many shops Andy although TJD always seem to have the latest items pretty quick.

Tim Mackey
Not sure how that is setup - specs say 2 x micro servos only ( which are included ) If it is tailerons, then how does the wing sweep ?
Jonathan Lewzey
it probably is tailerons like the Kyosho F16 and would need another servo for wing sweep if one is not included in the kit (and the spec)
Ben Mullins
The wing 'sweep' is fixed on the ground Meaning you swing it to the desired position and screw it there! So Basically you have to land if you wanna change the angle of the wing!
Tim Mackey
You know I wondered if that might be case, but thought...nah, they wouldnt would they! If you are not having a late April fools joke then this probably means a real javelin like throw for full swept launching, as lets be honest, these birds look pretty naff with full forward sweep and who want s that. I believe the whole point of the IN FLIGHT moving wing sweep thingy is to aid stability handling and reasonably low take off speeds etc, and when cranked back, high speed performance but without the low speed handling. Jonathan, I thought that too, but then read the specs which say "Additional parts required to complete" or words to that effect - and no mention of any further servos. Ben Mullins
Can't remember where I heard it, but that is the case! They might aswell not have bothered with the wing swing thing if you can't do it in flight, defeats the point of a swing wing!
Jonathan Lewzey
omg, that is soooo naff
Dusty
The model is not worth the price, saw one the other day..
Matt Jones
Surely it's not beyond comprehension to ling the sweep mechanism to a HD servo?
Thomas Barwick
Saw one on Saturday at £149.99. Looks and impressive kit. Also the video on youtube suggests it's pretty fast!
