Simon Roberts
Hello Chaps, bought a dx6i and AR6100e rx off ebay for a good price, now the only thing is its not come with a bind plug, does anyone know how much they will be? Also wont need the AR6100e if anyone needs one its up for sale Thanks Simon
Tim Mackey
Hells teeth, dont pay money for that thing - make one very simply from an old servo plug, just short out the leads from the two end pins and remove or disconnect the middle one, Job done. How much for the 6100E and is it definately QC enabled??? Edited By Timbo - Moderator on 20/04/2009 15:54:
Simon Roberts
Thanks for that mate i'll make one up Im not sure what the go for Timbo, I need ar AR6200 so wil be putting money towards that, do you want to make me an offer? can do over emai or PM if you wish Not sure what QC enabled is though! new to this 2.4Ghz thing! Tim Mackey
Well unless you can confirm if its QC enabled I am not interested. To test, connect up to battery, plug in servo to any port and switch on the TX and Rx. Switch off / disconnect power to the Rx ( leave the Tx on. ) and then reconnect as quickly as you can. Let me know whether the Rx LED was blinking, AND how long it took before control was resumed to the rx after powering back. I am not saying how long it should have been, but asking. Tim Mackey
It works fine with the DX6i or indeed the DX5 - the older DX6 was only DSM1. The only aircraft rx that works with that is AR6000 ( actually a very fine rx ) OK Simon - sounds like you have not got the latest firmware. I will only be interested if you first send it to HH in the UK and they upgrade it for you first ( this is a free service incidentally ) Otherwise..... someone else may want it - if they are not fussed about QC. Simon Roberts
Ok will send to HH then and get them to do it What is QC?
Frank Skilbeck
Simon re bind plug, if you buy a new AR6200 I think thy come with a bind plug, I know I've got more than 1 now so you must get them when you buy the Rx's. Not sure why you are selling the 6100e, they are great little Rx's. QC is quick connect, the original Spektrum Rx's would go through a full boot up if the power was interupted to them and took a couple of seconds to come back on line. The QC upgrade basically gets the Rx to look for the "frequencies" last locked onto 1st before scanning for new frequencies, so that if the Tx has not been switched off (and aquired new frequencies) it will lock back on very quickly. DAVID CLIFFORD
Isn't the 6100e only a parkie Rx with limited range? my Blade CX2 has this Rx in it If you dont need 6 channel go for the AR5000. great for mixing ailerons as it has two ports for each servo and is full range and at arouind £35 a real bargin if you can get one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S the AR5000 comes with the bind plug, but as Timbo points out dead easy to make one. Tim Mackey
Technically yes...but it has superb range if correctly installed. I agree about the ar500 if 5 channel is enough - but beware, they are still being shipped with NO QUICK CONNECT.
Simon Roberts
Thanks for the replies guys, I thought with the AR6100e being a parkfly rx i wouldnt be able to use in my Seagul Trainer. I suppose i can always use it in somethind else at a later date. i'll look at the AR5000 to thanks David.
Stephen Grigg
Ive never received a bind plug with a new receiver
Tim Mackey
I have LOADS of them, as they come with every new Rx purchased - if yours hasnt, then you have been diddled. And incidentally there is no AR5000 its AR500. Edited By Timbo - Moderator on 21/04/2009 17:28:
Stephen Grigg
Fortunately I do have enough bind plugs but now yuove made feel diddled Timbo
Tim Mackey
Ooo err missus
Frank Skilbeck
Just a word of caution on the AR500, it is full range but is only a 5 channel Rx with a built in Y lead, so you don't get to program the individual aileron servo's. The AR6200 is more expensive but is a better long term bet in MHO.
Tim Mackey
That is very true Frank - and a timely reminder, also as I said earlier, ALL of the ones I have ever bought have turned out to not have full QC enabled firmware, necessitating a return to HH. DAVID CLIFFORD
Oh Frank, Really Havent needed to use it but just going on a write up i read somewhere. P.S as Timbo says AR500 not AR5000. im just a little heavy on the zerooooooooo's D Edited By DAVID CLIFFORD on 24/04/2009 19:46:
