Guest
when springing circlips off , do same as I do when taking off valve springs on 4 strokes - work inside a large clear pastic bag - if circlip flies off it should be in the bag !!! I thought the pliers shown were for larger circlips with the holes in them - our small circlips need a small screwdriver to ping them off - hence the bag john
Ernie
Hi guys, thanks for all that, I've got the tool, and job's done. Problem now is that I can't get the shaft to slide through the motor, and I don't want to force it ernie
Bob Cotsford
I changed a 2212/10 round last night, and even with the grub screw in the rotor removed completely, it didn't go easily. I used my pillar drill as a bench press, with the motor resting on a block of wood drilled with a suitable hole to clear the motor shaft.Just make sure the case immediately around the shaft is well supported. kc
You didnt post a warning about suffocation whilst working inside a plastic bag. Just joking! We all knew you meant just your hands, but it is good tip.Edited By kc on 20/08/2009 12:52:

Boots
must admit I have not seen circlip pliers small enough for the 3mm size, i use my trusty tweezers, they are stainless steel swiss ones
