  1. Had it in the air last Saturday - flies well. There is a tendency to roll into direction of the curves - so aileron should be used very carefully. Otherwise it flies fine, made a few loops and rolls and a stall turn - all went fine. Flies nicely even with throttle at a third. Just a picture before take off - there will be a few flying photos as well - have to remind John - who took them - to send them over. Finally on the runway. VA
  2. As far as I know the use of this forum is not mandatory VA
  3. If Carl wears a hat he needs to look more on the suv side of the business VA
  4. Have to say no issues for me. Works quite well on a Samsung g4. And of course- change of device=new login. .. Office laptop, home desktop, man cave desktop, wife's I PAD. .... VA
  5. Mercedes estate digs itself in nicely. .. How do I know Tried it a few times .... VA
  6. Estate is the answer. Question is how muddy it is the place where you fly - or rather the access road. Got stuck several times with my estate and changed to a 4wd version because of that. Va
  7. They must have a different calendar up in NE1 country - here in MK16 I have still 13 days to wait... Anyway - a Merry Christmas to all of you, keep entertaining me also in 2015 May Santa bring you a lot of joy and models difficult to build ! (so jou enjoy it over a longer period...) VA
  8. ...on the first page of this thread a certain Richard Harris wrote to me that he has his doubts that this model could be a candidate for the 2015 mass build .... How wrong were you? They are coming up in all colours and designs. Did you ever count how many forum members are building an Atom special? I didn't, but I will try my luck and build one. Congratulations to this succesful model & thread! VA
  9. I think I have the same picture also in a bit better quailty. - but without the "who is who" VA
  10. Yes of course. Probably a stone or more lighter, divorced and recently married, moved house 3 times since this picture was taken, but I still read and write in the forum and from time to time I fly (or crash) one of my planes or now even a 450 class heli.... Vecchio Austriaco
  11. Finally I finished mine. A shame, 2 days too late as there was lovely flying weather. I was actually flying, not much, but better than nothing. And here we are. First plane I finished in my new man-cave Hope not the last one... VA
  12. To give my comment to the above discussion: Especially hot-liners are sometimes everything but silent Otherwise an easy task for me as I currently have only one working IC model, all the rest is electric. But 2 more IC engines are waiting to be put into their planes. This will still not change it, I stay with mainly electric. VA
  13. Have to revise my earlier post on this thread. It is dead slow now. Or is it server back up time? VA
  14. As you say to cymaz his TV sets are old if they do not contain a freeview tuner- I have currently 3 TV sets in the house, all are flat screen - 2 of them hd -means not that old but none of them has a freeview tuner built in. Probably I am old fashioned but I refuse to change devices which are perfectly working. VA
  15. seems ok to me, but probably I am slow myself.... And I do not expect too much from hotel connections. Greetings from Paris VA
  16. I agree to the comments above. A DX6 is the better choice. Probably there is some used gear available which makes it easier. (Sold mine for 50Pound 2 years ago) VAEdited By Vecchio Austriaco on 18/11/2014 18:08:14
  17. Oh I like that thread - why didn't I see it before? ok,here they come. A simprop glider (diamant), maiden near Vienna same model, with built up wings (home made) to catch those thermals... And VA a bit younger and smoking And again, at my "house slope" in Klamm am Semmering (90km south of Vienna) Again at the house slope, this young man is an insurance lawyer today - but he still has an electric glider somewhere in his house (my little brother) now a colour picture of this flying wing - this time with self made polyester fuselage. (the built up one of the first version didn't last long). by the way this was a plan built model from the German FMT magazin if I am right. same model after a rather risky inverted passage - ok, I didn't make it..... but it could be repaired. Again my little brother, even a few years earlier. the model is a standard airfish (wing slightly modified) As you can see the wind direction is good, but not strong enough. so I need the extra meters from the bungee. My first electric plane, all styrofoam, 4 cells NiCd, brushed motor. As I didn't have a lot of money this is built from spare parts only. A Viennese model shop sold them for peanuts as they were slow stock movers. A lovely model to fly, and it flew 6 to 8 minutes. Small enough to go into the boot assembled. And finally another airfish. This time the super version (FRP fuselage and aileron) during a holiday in Carinthia (Saualpe, 1500m above sea level) Probably I find some more. VA, nostalgic department.
