  1. Posted by Barrie Lever on 07/04/2020 14:52:58: Simon I see far more danger with free flight models at the RC power Nats and old duffers flying twice a year with a poorly prepared 1930's replica of whatever !! So assume from that you're not going to grow old and become a OLD DUFFER perhaps you should stay away from the RC power Nats if you feel its dangerous
  2. Put a Restore point in first then download the driver, that gives you the option of going back if the driver doesnt work ....

  5. Posted by Lee Smalley on 17/07/2014 16:29:27: to all those clubs out there that do not permit lone flying, unless you have a very good reason (public site, full size ect) then i am afraid your losing the plot, i am an adult i can drive a car on my own, i can cross a road on my own and if i really want to i can go out in the rain on my own as well, seriously guys most of us are adults and if i wish to fly on my own we should allowed to, we are still covered under the ANO and as long as we are sensible then the risks are minimal, of course there will be incident and accidents but they are very rare and we should not over-react! Yes we are all adults (mostly) and as such we should be able to choose whether we fly alone or not

  7. Posted by Peter Miller on 22/02/2014 19:07:14: On the subject of your Pulse. If you buy R/C Model flyer next month there are all the details of how to build a new nose onto the model. I just did that for a new member. Just don't throw any bits away, You will need them for a pattern Looks repairable to me but then I'm a modeller as well as a flyer
  8. Posted by Paul Marsh on 02/01/2014 14:56:59: For example you wouldn't use reed sets in a rc model now. Would you? Err.. well.. yes
  9. Posted by FilmBuff on 17/07/2013 18:59:51: Try the trusty Multiplex Easy Glider Electric. The Pro version has a brushless motor. I've just come back from a session at my local Parish playing fields. Three or four 30 second climb outs gave me an hours flight utilising gentle lift that was still around. There's lots of clones and similar 2M jobs around - and they all seem to tick the boxes you are after. Easy Glider Pro for me as well ..Cheap & Cheerful !!
  10. Doesnt the use of gyro rx's demand digital servos because of their constant movement
  11. I fly a mini vapor and a twister quad both excellant models and good flyers

  15. Mode one ...thumbs only .....You could only really use thumbs when flying reeds !!
  16. My daughter tells me its not man-flu any more that Ive got but........Manmonia, which is much more serious !!
  17. I did read it and I did regret it !!! .....and the phrase " it sounded like a full size plane" not that many club sites would tolerate that sort of noise and I have flown ic in the many years Ive been in this hobby but now I prefer electric ......Live and let live ......
  18. Maybe its that no one wants to take the responsibility of looking after minors as is the requirement in clubs these days if the parents are not with them
  19. The two flying sites available to me will only except electrics so I am now totally converted, dont really miss ic these days
  20. Many thanks folks for your replies will take them on board FO8
  21. Is there any point in sanding off (gently) the burnt residue on the wood parts or is it normal to just glue the parts together, I assume if the burnt edge would show through the covering then a gentle sanding would be exceptable, Does the residue affect the strength of the glued joint?
