  1. Sanding with a mask is okay, but the biggest problem I find is that the dust, being so light, stays in suspension for days. It continues to settle out on every surface, and any activity sends it up into the air again. The answer would appear to do all sanding outdoors, but my model building usually takes place in the winter months leaving the summer free to fly ( or crash) them.
  2. I've been there. Lock down, everywhere closed. "Balsa| Balsa! My kingdom for a sheet of 1/16.". I took to sanding down a sheet of 3/32. It doesn't take long, just rather dusty!
  3. Got mine from local Town Hall on 23rd. Like Alan H commented, the whole process was very swift and efficient. A very welcome surprise. Second dose date not filled in on the vaccination card, since nobody knows.
  4. Without agreement in EU law to enforce UK VAT collection by member states, then the process will have difficulty in succeeding. At this moment, the EU Commission is "upgrading" its website. IMO they have more important issues to deal with first. The dust will be in the air a long time before it settles.
  5. No VAT is levied on exports. This is also the case for EU exports.
  6. A3 - drones weighing more than 2kg must be flown well away from people That's quite specific!
  7. All sounds too easy. Can't the software geeks make it more complicated?
  8. Its all been done before at Eton Bray. That did not end too well. Hopefully, this will be a different story. See onthewire.co.uk/bray3.htm
  9. When the news headline proclaimed "Lewis Hamilton has break problem in the pits", I had a vision of him seated at a table in the garage entrance looking around to see which mechanic was bringing him a coffee! Good gaff, but not something that a professional sports editor should do.
  10. My sentiments exactly Erfolg. Bring back the nomographs and slide rules, I say. (Reliability is paramount). Joking apart, I have 3 pcs which all run different systems. The oldest has Windows XP which has never been on the internet since Mr. Gates decided not to support it any longer. This machine carries all my CAD and not much else. It always works - no updates - no antivirus. Like freezing a drawing in the old days. Good luck with your search; it's a veritable minefield out there.
  11. China has PNG over a barrel, having refinanced their national debt and given zero tariff trade links. PNG raw materials will only go where the paymaster allows them.
  12. Ball bearings from the USA are also subject to 8% import duty. Gets pretty close to your £12.00
