  1. Trim the model to desend slowly on a fast 1/4 throttle set up (thissetting is dependent on pitch and dia of prop) . Fly it in and control our desent with throttle.... use a tiny bit of elevator to three point it all sounds easy but...and practice gets you there so don't give up
  2. Yes very good it will suit most models. What planes do intend to use it in? Edited By flight1 on 17/07/2014 20:06:53
  3. In my dlg I use the full range telemetry FrSky D4R-II 4 Channel Telemetry it has two antena's and is very small . You just need a y leed to connect power if using all 4 channels, but having said that you can get 8 channels out of it utiising cppm out put setting. the one antena RX would be good for park flyers but if you got any carbon or shielding effect in your airframe then the 2 antena will be best Edited By flight1 on 17/07/2014 20:03:27

  8. I have had a quick look and Planet Hobbywood down in corwall is no longer
  9. For the old rotary engines they had lots of torque but not much revs (rpm) so they had to use large props with high piches to get enough omp'f to fly. All that metal wizing around and the prop made some real handling considerations. Edited By flight1 on 01/07/2014 11:52:33
  10. Hi here is one link about ww1 props lot to choose from. **LINK** for you model the xoar propellors are very good

  12. I have always used a try and when not I find it awkward and I believe if all the transmitters came with one at time of purchase instead of a expensive after marked purchase we would all have one. i have got around it by making my own, like this one for my taranis TX . The only thing that needs good consideration is the position of the hand rests. and I have got slightly longer sticks than standard Edited By flight1 on 11/06/2014 23:20:09

  14. oops a bit of typo with the valve clearances, I shall better check my typing and spelling better next time
  15. Hi heres my two pens worth.. 1. You have not mentioned if you have two tanks feeding the carbs or one tank with two seperate clunks fitted?(it wond't go well if you got one clunk off a y join) 2. Are both idle screws tured out the same( I find the needle settings out the box from factury are right and only need a tweek when run in a bit). 3. you are 3000 rpm down sounds like you only running on one cylinder the xhausts set up you'v got are restrictive but not to this extent.( if only one cylider running the xhaust gas one one will be a lot hotter and a simple check with yu finger). 4. Check both barrels in carbs are operating symetrical so when at idle both barrels have the same opening. and check the valve clearances 0.5 mm to 1mm (gap will get bigger as it warms). 5. for starting use one remote glow plug for each cylinder. you can start with one and then swap the glow driver over to get the other going. ( noticed in picture one remote plug lead is frayed culd be shorting so not enough juice to plug0 Hope this helps. one you got this teathing problem out the way you will be happy me thinks

  20. Here's Cymaz's Stampe take off and landing I took with my phone, poor quality but it proves it flys and that it does well( even though it got no pilot). Hope to take a better video at some point with a better quality camera Edited By flight1 on 04/05/2014 11:31:07
  21. Look for the Rx battery selection ( NiMh ) and then any pack 4.8v pack greater than 2000mAh just choose the best shape square or flat to suit best fitment into the model you got. and don't forget a suitable smart charger.
  22. You will have to use the radial mount and the rawl type rubber inserts to bolt it to the fire wall that will hardly move the engine any further forward. the bubro mounts do take up a lot of room. rawl wellnuts like from here ( many other sourses ) **LINK** It is a safe system Just ask if you whant more in-fo
  23. I have used prosynth 5% or straight for years and never had any issues with it. Tried the liquid gold version a couple of years ago just to see and found my engines ran better with the prosynth. Ran out of fuel a while back and borrowed some fuel with caster in it and I ended up with messy engines and they ran hotter for some reason...... and so I remembered why I stoped using fuel with caster in it years ago at first mixing my own with ML70 and now I just use prosynth(happy clean engines)
