  1. Its a common complaint. Long discussion over on rcgroups. I ended up disabling the lvc by soldering the board and now fly to a timer.
  2. When they say 4.8 to 6v i believe they are refering to either a 4.8 or 6v nicad you'll be fine with what you have
  3. I've just put my name down for one ?179 for a complete kit of this size seems pretty good to me
  4. Another option would be to build a wooden crate or two out of 25mm timer and 3mm mdf/hardboard to put the models in. They could then be strapped down and kept safe whilst in the moving van/ hire van.
  5. Hobbyking do an olive drab too http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=45941 Edited By glen johnson on 09/09/2015 21:18:15
  6. You could use 6mm grub screws. Model fixings do them upto 30mm long http://www.modelfixings.co.uk/steel_grub_screws.htm#Metric grubs
  7. Hi Robert, If you're anywhere near kent I'll take a look at it for you if you like. At the very least I should be able to recover files from the drive.
  8. I've used both, stainless are better for corrosion resistance and hold up well in engine use. They do still wear out though due to pitting of the races etc from normal engine use.
  9. If you have the same version installed on another laptop and are sure you used the same code you can use a program to fi d the key used to install it. https://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder/ is one I have used in the past.
  10. The wires on the ar7000 are just straight wire, I've also replaced one or two that dropped off, i now put a bit of heat shrink on them and attach it to the case with hot melt glue.
  11. the ar9020 has a common power bus as do all spektrum rx's. you can plug into any free channels and it will give power.
  12. If it's only rated for 4.8v then yes putting 6v (7.2v fully charged) though it will kill it in a very short time. if it was a 6v regulated then it's just a coincidence. Edited By glen johnson on 19/02/2014 13:33:10
  13. i used a launch dolly with mine. glided like a brick once the engine was off
  14. hold down the ctrl button and press 0 this will set the zoom to 100%
  15. Sounds good , thinking of doing mine in orange and clear when i eventually get round to building it.
  16. Looking good Martin what colour's are you going to be finishing the plane with?
  17. Do you have a subscription to the magazine? if so its in the Online archive of the Subscribers area i don't think i have any that go back that far.
  18. That's a fair point, but you don't have to swing that big a prop on 4s you're most likely to go for the 12" prop swinging a larger prop slower is more efficient The article does say the motor use is around 750kv
  19. I would have thought the G32 motor from Hobbyking would be ideal £22 from UK warehouse here's the link John **LINK**
  20. give it a little more power it will take off. the skidding off to the left happens if you don't give it enough power to lift off the ground it wants to sit at a very slight angle to the left in a hover (i can't remember the exact reason but it has something to do with the tail rotor i believe)
  21. I'd just like to thank Julian for the covering and fuselages
  22. Slec do a nice trainer kit called the sky 40 it can be found here **LINK** its a nice straight forward build that will help you get to grips with building. Edited By glen johnson on 13/01/2014 13:07:37
