In the club when i was learning, the vast majority used MODE 1. I still use mode 1 although i can if needed use mode 2. I dont know if this is down to being ambidextrous or not.

Flight 1, Try looking at LIDLE or Aldi, They sometimes have bandsaws in. Not very big but suitable for most jobs if set up right. Steve. PS, I got one here in Portugal.

We used to have some neoprene matting strips where i worked, designed as non slip and preventing your feet being "drawn" on concrete. About 1.5 mtr wide and as long as you wanted with a yellow stripe down the edges. -
Just got a card in post box saying i have a parcel to collect. It was posted on 10th DEC and PO tracking said it was still in Uk on 27th. PS we are in Portugal.

Hi EB, A straight answer would be "they are plugs" obviously different types. The wires are "crimped" into connectors which are then inserted into the plastic mouldings. The crimping is done using different types of crimp pliers, similar to (but not the same)as those used on a multitude of low voltage cables eg car wiring. Steve. PS welcome to the forum.

Andy, I had one of those early this year. A disjointed recording with a "american" accent. Send it to the phishing site at hmrc.

Hi Cuban8, My son works for BT and has said he gets loads of complaints(including me) about the "NEW" e-mail system. Also the cursor marks are nearly invisible.

This last week I received an e-mail from DVLA, Telling me i needed to update my details. That immediately flagged a scam, as 1, I don`t have a vehicle registered in UK, 2, I live abroad.

I always thought Discovery was an American channel. On this assumption you can understand why they have to repeat themselves so often, in order to get the required length of programme, and to cover how long has been cut out (where the yanks get adverts) i;e; short attention span.

I am currently re-furbing my ss40 after a 15 year layup. It is approx 40 years old and has only had one new bearing over that time. I ran it on SMC 5%. It used to be in a ROBBE PUMA, not a light model but did very well.

As was told to me many years ago at Primrose Valley modelling week by a number of the older generation who were flying freeflight models.".Radio is only a means of ensuring the model lands in the same county"

Does your meter have the facility to do a continuity check? not all do. They normally give a tone on continuity.

Were´nt they marketed by MFA?

John, I have spoken to someone in the trade and he says that they are the same thing. I cannot see that, in that the airfoil on the blade would be wrong as well. Still not heard back from the shop i bought them from. Steve.

That would be the same as Roy Levers big Lanc They used to fly it from the back of a car with the roof down.

John, I have recently received 2 3-blade "pusher" props from a major UK model shop as spares. Looking at them after unpacking they are the same as yours. In the picture on the shops website it is clear they are Proper pushers, yet i received RP as you did. I am contacting the shop to let them know. Steve.

Not sure what the layout is inside, but i suspect a resistor has gone down. That would drop the 12v to 2v for the plug. If you have a multimeter check against what is on the resistor/s. Steve.
-
John, I have two models with pushers, Both are mounted as normal with flat side to washer and nut. Steve.

Here in Portugal we have been wearing masks for several weeks now. We have not had the "mass hysteria" you seem to have had in UK. It is taken for granted that if you want to be in shops you wear a mask..We have one of the lowest rates of infection (despite not being on the "air bridge "list. Spain has multiple outbreaks all over the place but is on the list. It is not rocket science to take basic precautions.

This is my second attempt to obtain information on the "Motivator" Can anyone help?

A similar thing happened several years ago at the Primrose Valley modelling week. We were flying gliders at the neighbouring camp and one of our senior members ended up flying another aircraft, His own was behind him on a perfect landing approach in the field at the back, we managed eventually to get him to turn round and his aircraft then did a roll to inverted and straight down.

Hi Dave, thanks for the offer but postage to Portugal would be astronomical. Steve.
