Converting old kit to save buying new
sgwlm replied to Peter Yates's topic in Gadgets and Electronics
Hello Peter, welcome back to a brilliant hobby, 20+years on, you will find it is now cheaper to do this hobby, and such a wide choice. go along to your local club, have a chat with them, maybe get flying if they have a plane and buddy box, so you can get some stick time while you decide all of your options. -

brings back memories, i had the 42, 53 & 63 back many many years ago, never had the 75, instead at that time i had the Galaxy Mystic, probably the close competitor for the gangster. i always wanted the gangster twin but could not manage it back then, maybe i should look for one now.

all we see about the venue at Buckminster, as nice as it looks, not quite a central location for everyone which is probably funded by bmfa memberships, and that most of bmfa members will never get to, a simple, email received and being dealt with, would go a long way, after all if no reply of any sort, then the question is, why am i supporting the bmfa, and funding a venue that i will probably never get to
-
it is a routine to check spam box, knowing that some emails go there,
-
i think an automated reply, saying email received, would be a great help, at least then would know it is in the system and hopefully being dealt with
-
i too am trying to take the BMFA option for our club website, emailed the required information in December, not heard anything back beginning January, emailed again, still no reply, i then sent an email to ask, just for confirmation that my request was received, still nothing back, and yes i do realise xmas/new year, maybe a backlog, it does make me wonder if the email was received, i deal with a few other companies that use an automated service, to say that the email has been received, maybe something BMFA could look at.
