  1. Had mine today after finishing work (Pfizer) no side effects yet (touch wood), wife had hers last week (Oxford) she didn't have any side effects either both lucky i guess. And definatly well done to all those involved.
  2. Hello, now that brings back some memories, i had one of these back in the 80/90s. I always had problems with my landings with it keep droping a wing not very pretty ended up in the bin.Looking back i was probably trying to land too slow. I still like the model yours looks good and glad the maiden went well. Here's a couple of shots of mine from back in the day.

  4. Hello everyone hope you are all keeping safe and well. I'm afraid i'm gonna lower the quality of aircraft here. Bought a used FMS B25 a couple of years ago did a bit of weathering an forgot about i, till recently. Last year my Bro who i was teaching past away suddenly to pancreatic cancer so i promised him that i would fly his beloved Hurricane this he favoured more than the spitfires. I also bought the Durafly Seafire which i hadn't touched. Now i have got them all sorted and ready to maiden, just waiting for some good weather and a slot at our field.we fly of a rented field which is a hay field so its gonna be a case of got them up quick no scale take offs here
  5. Nice finish on your FunFly i'm sure you will be very happy with it. I have the Precedent Fun Fly mut be 25yrs plus old now, fitted with a Enya ss40 which just seems to plod on and on just a sport flyer. Picture taken just before i remaidened it after a 20yr absence from the hobby.
  6. Hi all, i think i must be lagging behind you guys in reguard to installations. I have an early x9d pre 2014 runing 2.2.2 most of my rx's are V series but do have a couple of 4 ch D series plus one S6R rx, all of my setups are basic 1 lipo for power and rx with the exception of my 82" Dacota lipo for power and c cell NIMHfor the rx. Basicly the same for ic and electric. Touch wood never had any problems with the Taranis except programing, all in all very happy with it. Don't know wether its me but it seems as though some people over complicate setups, but i do like to keep it as simple as possible.
  7. Merry Christmas to one and all from myself here in Cambridgeshire and best wishes for the New Year may it bring fair weather and plenty of flying
  8. Have had some dealings with them all positive, was lookig for some esky honeybee spares and bought quite a lot from them with no probs. The spares as far as i could tell were originals with the esky packageing , Mind you that was a couple of years ago now. Just had a quick look they still have spares will prob see what else i may need for the heli.   Edited By funflyerColin on 16/11/2019 21:53:11
  9. One last @ Andrew i have been interested in aircraft and model aircraft for many years to me it is a HOBBY and as such will fly when the op arises, i don't take it too seriously but enjoy it very much indeed and have had many hours flying an chating with fellow flyers, statements like yours really iritateas yes i have been/am into the hobby.
  10. Hello John, tbh i deffinatly agree with you there. i think i will stay away from these new reg threads, what with family matters and health i haven't flown this year club and BMFA fees paid, am itching to test fly some large aircraft. I think i will stop watching an follow more productive threads instead of all this to put it politely rubbish.
  11. Yes but why the extra test for cert holders here is what i am getting at quote 1 - Not quite, if you only get a flyer ID if you take the CAA test, if you are using the exemptions you do not need one. Basically the flyer ID is only a confirmation you have passed the CAA test. then a contradiction as i read it quote 2 - Where have you got the information that the CAA will email you your pilot number? If this is true, it puts the issue of the competency exemption running out in June 2020 to bed. even more confused this really needs spelling out in basic English so everyone is reading from the same hyme sheet.
  12. This is all clear as mud to me i think that i have got the jist of it all on the BMFA site then reading this puts a spanner in the works. I have been flying for over 15yrs and have A and B certs but it seems that they are going to be worthless. All this mess is it really worth it i ask myself mayb maybe not, so not sure wether i will continue my fav hobby, selling up is looking likely atm. Totaly confused.
  13. Hello guys, yes i still follow the thread i bought 2-3 yrs ago 10m of Antique solortex for mine, that is when i get time to carry on refurbishing it. Wish i had more time to get her ready, haven,t flown at all this year .
