  1. And me .27p picked up by bank and card blocked. Now awaiting new card in a few days time.
  2. Martin, I suspect that you have an ioniq38 which is probably the most efficient bev there is. I have an mg4 and after 2 winters it has averaged 3.8. Have you thought of an almost new ioniq38 which should be much cheaper than new. Zapmap shows several charging points around Glasgow and abrp is also a good app to use.
  3. I think that the fins are reversed now. Thinking back many years to mine the fins should be closer at the top than they are at the base. Hope this makes sense. A quick Google for twinjet images should show what I mean. All the best...Chris
  4. Hello David, been there, done that. Albeit using a standard pair of wot 4 artf wings. Should be maidenhead on Tuesday weather permitting. It turned out nose heavy so the nose has been shortened a little since the picture. Why did I do it? Well at the time the kit was not available so I bought a pair of wings and scratch built the rest. All the best...Chris.
  5. Try it on 6s without a prop to see if it handles that ok. If not perhaps you have a 6s controller to try with 6s. It should run on 6s, albeit a little slowly. I have a few dualsky motors and they are all good so not a problem brand. All the best...Chris.
  6. Also, Bill Kits Balsa Cabin Ben Buckle? Tony Nijhuis J Perkins..Panic.I Plus all of the sarik plan packs. Chris.
  7. Think I got the bit about 81's wrong, they were pliers wiring no2. Sorry, Chris
  8. Yes, I remember them all. I have this evening been using my number 3 screwdriver and my AT1's (not 81's). I went from strowger to TXK1 and finally to a NOU after that I was glad to take early release. My user name explains what I do now even though I am in my mid 70's. Because of long distance child minding haven't managed to get any flying in this year but I am trying to keep my fleet fettled and ready for late summer/Autumn.
  9. Jeff, having built this exact model many years ago there should be an arrow downwards from where it says 1.5mm doubler to the rectangular plate that supports the undercarriage dowels. It is a small ply plate that has the words 3/16 dowels written on it. The plates are there to strengthen the infill and to stop the dowels pulling through the soft infill sections. So just two small ply plates, one each side. All the best...Chris.
  10. Excellent. Did you measure the watts etc? Chris.
  11. Bill Kits fun fly 15. Friend had one which was very good and I am on my second Big Fun. Go on, support a small British kit manufacturer! All the best...Chris.

  13. Ron, have just been reading your build log again as it is excellent. I am wondering again about your power train. I thing that you have a Hyperion Z4045/12 which is a lot different to a ZS4045/12. The ZS is a lower kv higher current motor which is ok on 12s. If you have the ZS you should be ok but if it is the Z then be prepared to prop down. My figures were for the Z4045 but the ones in the rc groups forum were for the ZS hence the difference in results. It looks as if you will be ready to test very soon so I look forward to your results. All the best...Chris.
  14. Ron, that is an excellent looking xtrawot. Super build and finish. Please keep us posted with news of maiden etc. All the best...Chris.
  15. Ok Ron here we go. Fully charged my lipos and then left them for 3 hours to settle. Ran up motor at half throttle for 1 minute then went to full power and hastily shut down again as was seeing 75amps and over 2000 watts. Changed prop to 16*10 and saw 55 amps and 1650 watts which is fine for me. It could be that the type of wind/construction changed when the motor was updated. Will be interested in your results. Incidentally I reckon that you will finish your extrawot build before I finish my wot 4am assembly! All the best...Chris.
