  1. I'm not really concerned either way, but I do think that there was/is a thread "speculating" on future drone/quad regulations!
  2. Mine finished somewhat warm after a flight. So I created an air scoop at the rear underside of the nose block, and a exit aperture rear of fuse. Can do photo if asked.
  3. HI, I have sorted both the article and the plan for tipsy. In the post, on its way to Oz today. regards, Glyn.
  4. Echo all above. Just wish I had the room to build a large model. Great day out.
  5. I'm more concerned with how far the toilets are! It's an age thing, I believe.
  6. Yep mine flies ok with the lipo shoved into the space and the cover pushed in and down and the clip positioned. No problems in over 100 flights.
  7. Hi, It is indeed fixed for iPad. The same applies to the archive on the model boats site. So many thanks to all involved in the cure. Much obliged, Glyn.
  8. Simon, I totally agree re the decals. The nds just come unstuck and then look really tatty. CA no use for re sticking either.
  9. All issues I'm afraid. I get to the page showing all the monthly thumbnails of the mag, and no matter which one I select (touchscreen) I get forwarded the grey screen. When working there is a message instructing how to swipe (I think from memory) but now just a complete blank grey page. That's as far as I can get.
  10. I bought one of these soldering jigs. Hold about everything. Nice. **LINK**
  11. Hot tip learnt the hard way! Don't forget to slide the heat shrink onto the disconnected wires BEFORE you solder them onto the new connector. DOH !
  12. Mmmm I've got a couple of third party browsers, downloaded from the App Store that I use for watching flash streams. They both work fine. I have tried to use the archive with these browsers. No joy. Same problem. Pretty fed up now. Paying for nothing.
  13. iPads have never run the flash app. I.e used in the standard Safari web browser. But I have owned, and used, an iPad for several years. The viewer has always worked before for me. If can't read the mag on my tablet, it's no use to me at all. The model boats magazine is displaying ok. So it would seem to me that there ha been a system alteration server side. Still not tried it out on my iMac.
  14. Oh when I get time, I'll try it on my desktop computers.
  15. Sorry Pete but I'm not quite getting this. I log into model flying website, go to the members area, and then archives. I click on the link for RCM&E magazine and I am forwarded to: http://www.modelflying.co.uk/members/digitaleditions/popup.asp?t=3&i=2442 Which is the page that now just appears blank grey. As you can see I am still inside your website, and my subscription is valid, it says for another 26 days. I do have the pocket mags app which works ok, but it requires me to purchase any edition that I want to open! So what am I supposed to be receiving for my digital subscription and where from? As I have already said this has worked ok on my iPad for a couple of years upto recently. There has been no IOS update on my tablet for some time, so I don't think the problem is my end. Regards, Glyn.
  16. Still US Saturday morning. Somewhat disappointed with lack of any response from administrators.
  17. 30 odd years ago I built a Keil Craft rubber powered, tissue covered , free flight model, I think it was my first build. On completion, one Sunday morning, I drove to Bradgate Park, where there was a hill used as a flying site. There was no one there. I explained to my two young children that I had to do an unpowered test flight to check out the trim/balance. I gently hand launched my pride and joy down the bracken covered slope. Looked ok. Alas my brainless springer spaniel saw it, chashed after it, and pounced on it. 10,000 pieces! 25 years before I built another model. Kids thought it hilarious of course.
  18. Hi Paul, As stated above it's worked ok for me for 12 months or more, but has stopped working now . My symptoms are aexactly as yours, grey screen and no magazine pages displayed. And, of course, I'm paying a subscription for it. I'll give it a couple more days then will cancel if not fixed. (Admin please note.) Cheers, Glyn.
  19. has anyone experienced a problem with the archive magazine viewer. On my iPad the app opens, but displays only a blank screen. It worked upto last week, but not for the last two days. Help/advice requested please.
  20. All I can say to very brave guys is make sure you don't leave this page open on your computers. Best to delete browsing history just to be sure. Otherwise I just want to wish all the best for your futures!
  21. Upto yesterday all mine were go. Now there is one that's not. Took a newly built Can Doo canard. No undercarriage so hand launches required. I threw it, my pal on the sticks( very experienced, and an instructor ) Away it went, buzzed round a bit, ran out of elevator down trim. So landed ok, adjusted the sub trim. Second launch spun to the left and ate the grass. Reckon I didn't throw it hard enough. Anyway it on the bench, glue drying! Happy days. Glyn.
  22. A further problem with such a scheme would be the second hand market. Original purchaser could resell, for whatever reason, to his neighbour, friend, or the bloke down the pub, no paperwork involved. So yes very complicated idea to administer.
