  1. Hi Barrie, Well it certainly promoted a lively response The sad fact is with relatively small circulation figures they are only pay a nominal fee for contributions to the mags, and I gather Mytime Media only really make money from subscriptions, as WH Smith even charge for which shelf they are displayed on. I would say a large vote of gratitude to Tony Nijhuis for keeping RCM&E going with his designs, my 10 published so far don't come near Tony's efforts Regards Ray
  2. Hi All, Sorry late to this thread ! By what measure can anybody say a range of magazine's have "Gone wrong" ?? nothing stays the same in this world as we have just realised. All the magazines are only as good as the contributors articles, All the titles are still produced much as they ever were ! but then I've only been reading them for 55 years Regards Ray
  3. Commercial television is just that, the programmes are just the padding between the adverts which are what earns the revenue. Record everything at least you can fast forward at X30 speed 😀👍✈ Regards Ray
  4. Please can I have the day changed to 30 hours so I can have more building time ? Regards Ray
  5. Hi All, You need to remember CB radio pre-dated mobile phones by quite a while 😉, Talking on a hand held device was a novelty back then ! Imagine what happened since 😀 Regards Ray
  6. Hi All, That was really the point I tried to express earlier in this thread, and being a Law Abiding BMFA member of many years and doing the test ( to be covered by the insurance ) as I'm more a lone flyer these days, I'm with Jason on this one !! not much talk of Drones near airports as there is much less air traffic to disrupt Could be saving £41.00 next year ? Regards Ray Edited By Ray Wood 4 on 16/10/2020 14:41:06
  7. Hi All, Now here's the thing ! I didn't start flying this year until June, having flown 9 times since then should the CAA consider giving us an extension on the operators licence period ? Or will folks just not bother to pay next year ?? Regards Ray (not sure)
  8. Happy Days !! Every cloud has a Glow powered lining Regards Ray
  9. Hi Cliff, Keep up the good work, looking forward to her maiden flight 😀👍 Regards Ray
  10. Being able to post on a forum is not a guarantee of correctness of grammar and punctuation, but we would normally get the drift of the contribution which is what I'd say matters ?? Regards Ray Edited By Ray Wood 4 on 10/10/2020 15:31:07
  11. Hi Cliff, Good to see you back on the case 👍 every time I charge my batteries it rains & blows a gale 😀 Regards Ray
  12. Hi Cliff, That is good news, think how the third candidate is feeling if he didn't get an offer ? Go for it, and keep looking for something else is my advice. Any progress with the York ?? Regards Ray Edited By Ray Wood 4 on 05/10/2020 19:11:24

  21. Thanks Cliff, The recruitment agency's have worked well for me in the past for permanent positions, they will work hard on your behalf as they are on 10% commission of your annual salary for placing you, and they all have mortgages to pay, worth having a ring round to see what they think maybe in your area? All the best Ray
  22. Hi Robin, Sorry I didn't make it clear, I was asking what Line of work Cliff is in ? Although your career looks to have been very interesting 😀 as a construction planner I have been blessed with many positions over the last 45 years 👍 Regards Ray
  23. Wow !! That was comprehensive 😀 can we ask what your current job is ?? I apologise if you already told us Regards Ray
  24. Hi Cliff, Sorry I'm late to your bad news thread ! As I've worked in the construction industry for 45 years, we get hardened to redundancy and the companies going into administration ! Only 5 times for me so far, my best advice is sign on to a recruitment agency, get you CV up to date, and maybe if possible get in touch with the subcontractor who has taken over your job, as they won't have anybody who knows how to do your job as well as you do 😀 I just had 3 months furloughed and also realized how much money I waste ! I'm also mortgaged to 70 so I have to keep going 👍something I'm happy about by the way even model making 24/7 can be boring in a way! Best of luck with your search, how's the York? Has she flown yet? Regards Ray Edited By Ray Wood 4 on 13/09/2020 08:23:19
  25. Yep it looks like the Veron fuselage & tail, but it was 72" span and no ailerons, looks like you have new wings, mine flew very well on 2.5cc PAW diesel 👍 Regards Ray
