Yes I remember Tim's original MB5 at an early flying show in 1982 at Graveney Kent, run by the Canterbury club, Chris Foss was flying a Dalotel, and me flying my MR Hurricane badly 😲 Looks very Mustang like with that radiator, did it have a contra rotating prop on the full-size ?? Regards Ray

Hi Cliff, Good work with the York 👍 looking forward to hear how she flys 😎 Regards Ray -
My memories are of a model shop in Swanley Kent in the 70's run by Roy Norris he had a BN Islander hanging in the shop which had won 1972 class 2 nats with. Unfortunately short lived as Roy was tragically killed flying a DH Chipmunk 😢 still remember him as a really nice guy... Regards Ray

Hi All, I flew a 32" span Turbulent designed by Ron Moulton with a . 55 PAW but ailerons & elevator, tissue covered and enamel painted, you don't need to fuel proof the model 😄 still have the u/c, may build another some day. Regards Ray -
Hi Rogeo, I would guess you radio is 35mhz which has been superseded now by 2.4mhz and glo motors are not so popular with the advent of electric flying. New equipment is so cheap these days I'd buy new if you can ?? Regards Ray

OMG, balsa cement of is the corner stone of aeromodelling, how could we live/build without it 😄👍😎 Regards Ray
-
Hi Jason, I haven't seen fish glue in Poundland ! But will have a look for it 😄 Granted I've only been building for 50 years but never had either the expensive or the cheap stuff fail. Regards Ray
-
Hi Micheal, I'd go with Doc's suggestions on Gorilla products + Balsa Cement for joining sheets. Plus I find the Poundland cyano, and epoxy great value 👍✔, In my experience because it costs an arm & leg doesn't make it any better ! Hi All , That's good advice from Danny, I have studied Brian's designs for the last 40 years since my first build of his Mk 9 which with his first Hurricane were pre retract days with fixed under carts, the first designs all featured the 1/4" square framework with the formers fixed on the outside, he then progressed the the later 8 3" Spit which has sheet sides, one for the future I have all the bits 😄👍 enjoy your P47 build ! !I Take weight out where you can, they do end up heavy if your not careful. Hi I missed this, but when I built the slightly larger version than Vic's original tissue or film would be fine 😄👍 Regards Ray -
