  1. Glad it still was a little help after all those years, Nigel. ? And, yes the Ronseal 'Diamond Hard' is very usable too, but it's a little 'harder' to sand. Cheers & stay safe Chris
  2. ... RIP, Mr Murray. ... of course being non native British, I never really enjoyed his comments on BBC. ... but, he still remained a legend even to us poor Continentals... As John P wrote, I would still be happy to reach 97 as well... or maybe not really... Cheers to all & stay safe Chris
  3. Thanks in advance, Ron. Looking forward what the cost would be for a 10m roll ( or 20m, if it is just by weight ). Cheers Chris
  4. ... you must try to read 'between the lines', Igor. ? Anyhow the midfield guys are 'sandbagging' a lot as usual... We need to be patient and wait for the Q3 in two weeks time. "... the devil lives in the details..." , for sure... Cheers Chris
  5. ... I could guess you're on your way to become a sole UK distributor for the 'New Stuff', Ron... A third order must be on your way by now, I guess? Any chance to get some of the stuff shipped to EU/Belgium??? Cheers Chris
  6. ... no probs, Glenn. ? John S gets 'overexcited' quite often... Shame for his Iphone though... Should we get all 'excited' about the pre-season's tests starting tomorrow morning? ... Cheers Chris
  7. ... great regarding your Iphone, John... ... but 10 participants isn't really great... Taking in consideration that Glenn is coming in this season, we 're missing quite a lot of our 'oldies'. Probably the 'new' forum isn't totally 'innocent' on that matter... Sometimes I wonder how many previous regular forumites we're missing those days... Cheers Chris
  8. ... if I remember well, the last 'JP Specials' were designed by Colin Chapman and were wearing a black/gold scheme. ... but I thought sigarettes advertisings were banned a while ago, John... dunno... Cheers Chris
  9. ... yep, but they are cheap for a reason, isn't it? Do you think of having them in your team? I'm waiting for the first 'sandbagging' WE... Cheers Chris
  10. Indeed, prices jumped up and it became more difficult to combine a coherent team without going Pro. Just a financial benefit increase from the organisers, I guess... What do you mean with "the Red uns", John? The 'Bulls' or 'Ferrari'? Two more nights to go before the Bahrain test days... Cheers & stay safe all Chris
  11. No worries about "filling them in and start again", Stephen. Dirk wrote that they are just a dry fit so far. But Danny's right as Dzus fasteners are a 'quarter turn' and the underlying spring wire is always - read 'preferably' - fixed in the same 'orientation', making the 'closed' Dzus slot appear all in the same direction. Mostly 'horizontal' on a fuselage, but not always... Cheers & stay safe Chris
  12. ... oops, you're right, Iqon. I didn't even notice that half a million difference... ? Anyhow, who should be tempted to pick Mercedes... nearly no cash left to build up the rest of your team... ? Cheers Chris
  13. The FB figures are correct, John. ... and it gave me a serious headache to try to combine a 'team'. Not with great success so far, I must admit... Cheers & stay safe all Chris
  14. ... glad to have you back for the new season, Tony. ? @ Iqon > the Fantasy site is announcing their 'available soon' since a while now. My best guess is they are waiting for the Bahrain winter test next weekend? Cheers & stay safe all Chris
  15. Thanks for your answer on the other 'general' thread, Ron. Following here now. Really impressive bird... Cheers & stay safe Chris
  16. ... +1 for a comprehensive build blog, Ron. Cheers & stay safe Chris
  17. ... glad to have you back at the Sabre indeed, Steve. ? Looking forward to the next episode. Cheers & stay safe Chris
  18. I can only think of two possibilities, EB. Either you must have an enormous bucket of brownie points... Either there is simply no 'LotH' around... Cheers & stay safe Chris
  19. ... another great achievement, Timo. Well done again. Cheers Chris
  20. Sorry to read that you're a bit 'delayed', Phil. Get well soon. Regarding the water decals, please remember that your printer - if it's a household one - doesn't print in 'white'. For example, you will have no white lettering in your "GROUND HERE" roundels. In my documentation for the Dog, the "BEWARE OF BLAST" sign at the turbine exit, includes a surrounding white rectangle as well. Maybe yours does not? The solution, of course, is to print those on a transfer with white background or to stick your clear decals onto a piece of thin white adhesive vinyl. Cheers & keep safe Chris
  21. ... just wait a moment here please, Phil... Isn't the black nose paint supposed to be truly matt 'anti-glare' scale wise? If so in your scale book as well, you can remove the cockpit tape and have it 'all' covered before having some 'clear gloss' in your airbrush leaving the gloss for the rest of your fuse? But then, I'm just an apprentice here. Chris
  22. ... looking at the result you are achieving, Phil... ... I'm really wondering if I should 'go on' with my Dog version... Amazing it is anyhow. Cheers Chris
  23. ... not the same style at all... So apologies for breaking this ol' man feast... But 160 millions views on YT nevertheless... Cheers & stay safe Chris
  24. I guess Iris would totally agree with you, John... Very probably that's why she's calling me "mildly autistic"... Somebody once said > "The devil lives in the details"... Cheers and keep safe, young man Chris
