  1. The reason that I phoned was that I had sent my tax return in by post. The lady in the Post Office said that I should send it "signed for". Royal mail had no signature for it so I put a claim in to the PO and they sent me 8 1st class stamps' Then I phoned the tax office and they told me that they had received it. 8 stamps is worth having these days!!!
  2. Club member Dave Holdaway flew a renovated free flight model with R/C and converted to electric power. A perect afternoon for some good pictures Great nostalgia an very peaceful to watch
  3. Test flew my new PT Sportser, a reduced rehash of a very old design. Flew well even though I was very rusty. Note the spot on the right aileron. This was a bee which didn't fly away. It stayed on the aileron right through and very fast aerobatic flight an then calmly flew away after the model landed!!!!
  4. That is great. So glad that you are happy with her.
  5. GReat to see Miss Lizzy. You will love her I am sure. Yes the weight is without fuel. ENJOY!!!!
  6. That looks really great Steve. I am sure that you will enjoy flying her.
  7. I was thinking....If you can't get at something you will need to.
  8. I always make up paper tubes and fit them. It makes installing things so much easier and also later servicing and repairing things. It is better engineering if you like.
  9. I should mention that Fantasy was done a very long time ago, over 30 years ago.
  10. In the past I used cellulose car paints and enamels in air brushes. The gold and solid metallic purple where spray cans.
  11. There was one whacking great hole in the middle of the road of Sudbury's market hill. about two feet by 18 inches, They had put a shovel full of tar in it!
  12. I went into town yesterday. There was one stretch of road where I was weaving around so much to miss the potholes that I am sure I would have been pulled over for drunk driving!
  13. I do know that the DVII could not climb as high as the DH4
  14. Just finished my new model. It is based on my 1984 designed Pee Tee Sportster Reduced in size and converted to electric power. I would now say don't reduce the size but built it to the full 54" span. Now all we want is some rain free days so we can get across the the flying field without being completely bogged down. Span is 48", Weight 2 lbs 1 oz. CG came out spot on. Same power train as The Ohmen.
