  1. Thanks, On some sites they have a counter on the pictures so you can see if anyone out there is watching,, I will give it a go and see what happens,,,
  2. No one interested David, so I will just carry one and forget posting,,,
  3. Cutting out for the retracts, I got this handy tool for 29€, the blue tape is for the depth so not to go too far, opened out for my HK modified to twist and turn, i added some ply ( bottom of the picture ) to get them in.
  4. It has arrived, It is the 'T' version, obviously cheap as it has the French roundel' decoration,,?
  5. My first control line plane was one of these with a Cox in it, I don't remember getting more than two or three laps without breaking it,,, real rubbish, and that in a public park, today I would get 10 years solitary for doing it.
  6. Today, 08:05 AM #2 Report paulinfrance Living in the south of France Thread OP Joined Aug 2011 2,213 Posts No reply s anywhere, so no one has ever built or flown one so ordered last night I will be fitting my own modified retracts an Rcgf 15cc ( crap clone copy ) and the flaps, anyone interested ?
  7. Yes David, at 230€ delivered and I have the twist and turn retracts, and all the other gear,, It looks like it's the 'T' Tiger version,, i did fly my saito .45 powered Bristol M1 and my Raptor 50 on Thursday in the gales,,,
  8. Hi, I am looking at the seagull skyraider for my vibrating 15cc Rcgf copy clone, they do three, the 230-b ( bee deco ) 230-T (tiger deco ) and the 230 which over here is 55€ cheaper than the other two, in the publicity ( they aren't answering the phone ) the cheaper one ( I think ) is a one piece wing the others are in two pieces, any own out there can tell me the difference ?, I have found the building instructions for the Band t, but not the other . thanks, Paul
  9. Thanks the eboot ones are in a bit of a state but the other one in his shop is good news, I will contact him tomorrow thanks,,,,
  10. Hi, Mr Raptor 50 ( first version) canopy is starting to split and fall to pieces, and I can't ( my old age ) see it too well in white, I am looking for a new, old, or reparable fibre glass one, anyone got one, a mould or a shop address who has one in stock,, Ps, fibre glass not gold plated thanks,,,,
  11. Thanks but in the south of france ( where I live ) and all binned except a couple of blades, you never know,,,,?
  12. A bit late, over here they have a lot of these ones,https://www.xicoyturbines.com/about.html I have seen the boss at the fly ins, and he is a real pro, all problems sorted out on the field, and even replacement parts changed no questions asked. so what did you get ?.
  13. My 'tuppence', although most has been said, I only use 98 octaine in france, it's the only petrol without ethanol, and 3% motul synthetic oil, Aspen is too expensive for me. replacement carb kit from ebbot ref wat K10 or wat K20 will be around 4€ have you done the 'pop up' pressure around 1 kilo ?. When regulating the carb, don't forget that the low needle is always putting fuel in the engine so it will modify the H needle setting.
  14. Oh dear,,, I posted the same problem on a British forum now closed down, the blue servos wouldn't even work on my Futaba 2.4 or 41 mhz gear the same servos and the same problems, so I changed the servos ( not my plane) and put some decent ones in the wing with the Y lead.,,, ps I did get a good answer from one of the 'expert' members (PDR ) about the signal coming from newer radios,, pps they all worked separately on any radio or servo tester,,,
  15. So still having problems ?,, I did build and fly the kit 54 a great motor, but wren service is inexistent !,,,
  16. Well that was a good flight, I have built flow and crashed a few of these devil designed machines, all methanol powered, average 3 flights = 1 broken blade,, well done, and yes it does look nice.
  17. You can always do it the other way around, your wire in an "L" up the inside and jammed in with a drip of cyano on a round slither of balsa.
  18. Does "land" include coming to rest in more than one piece ?.?
  19. Well back from a blast from the past, In the South of France and still flying all sorts of planes, helicopters and dare I mention drones,,, After loosing 5 different model fields in 18 years our club now owns 2 hectares of land with a gravel runway of around 12 metres x 130 metres a steel building to shade ourselves from the sun and a couple of decent mowers, 2 electric planes with radios to teach people how to fly, and membership that had been 'waning' down to 24 members is now up to 36 with a few bob in the kitty and friendly members ( yes even though they are French ). A picture of us getting on with the job, as you can see we have concrete ping pong tables on bricks to put our planes together and start them up, nearest neighbour around 800 metres away so no noise problems. so thanks for having me back.
  20. Going back to two piece wings, I have a seagull P 47, and I have blind nut in the fuselage and i use an allen key bolt to fix them via the hole where the wheels go,, tell me if you need a picture Oh dear my spelling checker won't work here and the forum one is even worse !!!
  21. Oh dear I missed all that, posting on RCMF, . My 1985 Rossi powered one went in 2 years ago after the aileron servo decided that one roll wasn't enough, So as I have a mould of it, I made another one, I made a thicker wing and a bit deeper, new bearings on the Rossi and flew it 3 weeks ago, what a plane !, it's the best thing I have ever flown ( 35 planes in my garage at the moment ) Oh dear, my ortograph corrector won't work here, and most of it is underligned in red,, and the site one,, it just shows, coller ctrl+v OMG and no direct way to post an image,,
  22. Hi, Has anyone out there got or knows where I can get the front gear Wheel that drives the tail rotor S-4615 thanks Paul. Opps I cant post the photo, too complicated, will this do ?. **LINK**
  23. Modelling is just gong downhill especially Methanol engines, I live in the South of France ( no John isn't here on holiday ) we are 30 in our club and only 4 of us fly ic engines and with 5% methanol fuel at 35€ the 5 litres 3 of us now mostly fly petrol, the others eletricery and worse still EPP artf's, and to put a nail in the IC planes coffin the youngest flying them is 65 years old, so enjoy your holiday John, there are other thing in life than model planes,,,
  24. Hi, a French friend has asked me to look you up as he wants a Laser 180, have you one in stock please and when are you getting a phone that works please ?,,
