Saito FG21 four stroke petrol. IC 😊 Steve

Two years ago, I bought the rib set, plans, cabane struts and U/C. Today I ordered the cut parts pack which weren't available two years ago. I am at the planning stage which will lead to a strip wood list then the build can start. My thinking is that this will be my 2024 main build.😊

Me too, Did I make this sound easy,🤣 It's not if perfection is sought so maybe TWHTD as TLAR. Steve
-
Thanks Ron, I try to be neat. As no one has asked why I build the wing first I will say anyway.🤣 I use the fuselage ply doubler as a template. a bit more work required obviously.😊 Steve

Wing tips done and here is the second LE clamped while the glue dries. TE next. Steve

As it's only the motors my thinking is that no prop would reduce the cooling and cause the motor temperature to rise above normal. I only ever test a motor with a quick low throttle pulse to check rotation and of course that it works.

You are forgiven.🤣

@George Worley - 4-Max is the expert.

That's probably the thinking but in my experience many batteries are destroyed rather than wear out, especially with beginners. Steve
-
I don't have a battery register and none of my club mates have one. I see no need for one. Steve
-
The bottom is now finished. Just wing tips, LE and TE to do.😊 Steve

Not the same at all.

When dried sand the outside face so that it 'will' be invisible when covered.🤣 Then as previously mark and cut, when glued here it is. Steve

Next is the bottom sheeting but first the paper tube, Then repeat the process used on the top sheeting. The hinge opened up and glue applied. Close the hinge and wipe off the excess glue then place on a flat surface and weight down with anything heavy and to hand. Soup for lunch now I have taken it out of the cupboard above, which was to hand. While the glue dries I can have a cup of Tea. Steve
