  2. Hi Ron How do you run both frequency’s on a Horus 12? I’m away from home at the moment and can’t look at my tx . Can you run an external module and the internal at the same time Alan
  3. I have had plans scanned and cut by SLEC ,they do a first class job for a reasonable price .I wouldn’t consider buying a cutting machine ,leave it to well equipped experts Alan
  4. My stuff predates lbt I removed the R8X from my cdi model thanks to your post .It was replaced by D series rx which I tested this morning .It passed an engine on range test with no problem and I had 3 successful flights .This is in line with the experience on the US site Alan
  5. The T9 hobby sport site doesn’t make it clear that the standard 8x receiver shouldn’t be used with a cdi unit Alan
  6. Hi Ron Sorry for your loss but many thanks for the post .I am fitting out a newly acquired model with a cdi and was going to install ax8r RX Alan
  7. Emulsion paint and micro balloons works well .Its the same as deluxe materials stuff .Balsa dust works instead of balloons if you can be bothered collecting it Alan
  8. Hi Jon please could you include me in the pm loop if you have an update on v twin production Alan
  9. Hi Ron Mick Reeves does Laser fit flexible pipe which works well .He also does a silencer which fits the flexible .I haven’t tried the silencer but it must reduce the noise and may be worth a go Alan
  10. Hi Ron I have two v twins on flexeible exhaust both run well but they are louder than standard item . Our site isn’t noise sensitive and the do sound nice ,a bit like a Harley Davidson Alan
  11. Hi Jon To save a phone call please could you post the hight of the top of the silencer facing down to the bottom of the mounting lugs on the 155 .The website shows the Hight with the silencer facing up . A150 will go in the chilton like this but it’s tight Alan
  12. Hi Jon Are twins going to be available again ? I would want glow rather than petrol Alan
  13. Hi Jon My next build is a chilton dw1 GAESZ it would make producing an accurate cowl much easer if the front bearing housing and prop driver were anodised red .Would this be possible on a new 155 .Have you got piston rings for a 150 Alan
  14. Hi John I have held a B certificate since the early. 1990’s and am an examiner .I wouldn’t be able to fly the B schedule to the required standard without some practice first and I fly regularly .So please have some stick time before demonstrating the manovers Alan
  15. Hi all My JR 9x2 is getting a bit old .I have been using it with a Fr Sky module for a while so I’m thinking ether the Taranis 9 or Horus 10 as a replacement .I haven’t found the need for more than 9 channels as yet .I would really value some comments about the pros and cons of each Alan
  16. I have the gee bee and the Waco both fly well are reliable and look ok so it’s a thumbs up from me Alan
  17. Hi Jon Have you got piston rings for a 2 ring 150 .Its an old st carb version and lacks compression .The bore doesn’t look too bad ,so I’m hoping a re ring will cheer the old girl up Alan
  18. Hi Russ Not read the whole thread so please excuse repeats .Check out all carb O rings especially the one between the carb body and the crank case Alan
  19. Hi Ken Check out the Mick Reeves website he did a super scale retract set for a large hurricane I’m not sure if he still does them I haven’t looked at his site for a while Alan
  20. Thanks Jon I need to talk to you about parts for an old 150 it goes but lacks compression .Will normal service resume soon. Alan
  21. BEB is correct ,too much elevator at the top of a loop is a problem and can result in a stall and spin or a flick roll. A loop should be round so elevator input should be reduced towards the top and increased again to achieve a smooth transition to level flight . Alan
  22. Hi Jon I am mounting a new 180 in a 1/4 scale extra 300 to run the engine in .I am thinking an 18-8 prop is that OK.How is the move progressing ? I may be interested in a 360 at some point if I can get back onto my flare stearman build Alan
  23. A laser v twin is a good match I have a200 in mine a 160 would be OK too .The sound alone is worth the money I don’t know how Jon is getting on with the factory move at Laser so a pre owned one may be the way to go Alan
