  1. Does anybody have a copy of the above that they are willing to share ? Not that you need them to assemble this model ! I have a kit, but no plans. Alternatively, is anybody interested in buying it from me as is ? All packets are still sealed, including wings.
  2. Hi Fred and greetings from North Yorkshire.
  3. Download the copy near the top of the thread.
  4. Reminds me about the morse code operators daughter. πŸ˜‰
  5. Looking back at magazines from the "good old days" it is interesting that the build articles accompanying the free plans are more sparce than those in current magazines, but with far fewer pictures. However model builders were quite able to produce acceptable results (probably some of the people now complaining). It's amazing what we forget as we get older.
  6. They've done it again !!! Can anybody explain why it is that the free magazine plan this month has the two halves of the fuselage printed on both sides of the same piece of paper ? In olden days they would have printed the halves on the same side, or on the reverse of the wing sheet (and vice versa). It doesn't particularly bother me as I can scan and print out after joining them. However there are probably quite a few readers who are peeved about receiving a "free plan", only to have to go and get it scaned or buy another copy in order to build the model. I am also given to understand from others that if you buy an addition plan from Sarik that you get exactly the same as is in the magazine. I might have thought that this was a one off, but it seems to happen every time the plan is over 2 issues. Obviously this is done deliberately, but can somebody tell me why ?
  7. I'm not very good at any contests, but the one you refer to I am disadvantaged to begin with ! There would be no magazines without advertisers. The editorial reviews are a kick back to them for advertising. However (as in this case) the editor has seen greater value in these models than some others he has reviewed and so has given them more space. I agree as they are exteremly good models for attracting new fliers to the hobby (read that as younger !). These are the sorts of "bits of foam" that are likely to be of interest to newbies. Had these types of models been available in the 1970's our generation would have loved them, but the generation that were then of our age now would have moaned a bucket load about the lack of articles about covering in silk and building with bamboo. It's ironic really that a large number of complainers on the forum don't buy the magazine regularly and that forum is run by the magazine which is happy for them to complain on it !
  8. Personally I don't mind cookies, but I prefer muffins. 🀣
  9. I did that one year. It's the only one i've ever kept !
  10. I was right. πŸ˜‚ I'm not much older (1 year), but I don't remember rubber powered servos so that apparently classes me as a "spotty yoof" in most aeromodelling circles. Regarding the pop up. It started on Thursday and everybody knows IT people don't work on Fridays (and sometimes Mondays) so don't expect it to get fixed until at least Wednesday.
  11. Tim. You're obviously a member of the younger generation. 🀣
