AWM
Hello again... Setting up the flaps on the plane with the T6EX. The flaps are operated on channel 6 by a switch. There is a dedicated flap servo in each wing, joined via a Y lead into channel 6. The problem is that when the switch is on the off position 1 flap is deployed and when the switch is on the other flap deploys and the one that was deployed returns to the neutral position. Any ideas how to fix this? hmmm. Thanks all!!
Ultymate
Are these flaps proper or ailerons being used as flaps
AWM
Hiya.. Proper flaps. Looking at the set up, it looks as though one of the servo's has to be reversed some how??
Frank Skilbeck
Can you turn the servo over so one faces towards the fuselage and one away, that way they will both move in the same direction. The E Flite Beaver has the servo's installed this way so you can operate them via a Y lead. The other alternative (short of getting a new Tx) is to buy a servo reverser which goes between the servo and Rx.
Clive Matthews
Yes, I've had this issue with an FF7. Either physically reverse the servo or use a servo reversing lead. You may have introduced flap trim which will increase the offset producing the other symptoms mentioned. Either inh flap trim or adjust to get the movement you require. Sorry Frank, posted same time - great minds etc. Edited By Clive Matthews on 06/03/2010 19:05:
AWM
Do you know what... what is the opposite of left breast? Thats what I feel like right now!! I took the servo horn off and turned it round to the other side! Soz for wasting your time! lol Alan
Brian Hammond
Does anyone know the value pot to replace the flap switch on the T6EX?
Denis Watkins
With the Tx off Borrow a Multimeter set to ohms Brian, put the probes to the centre pole and one outer tag Then go to full deflection with the switch or stick and back again The meter should read Zero and your pot value Also most pots have a number stamped on e.g 109 Online, you can put that number in and get the pot value, in this case 10K Edited By Denis Watkins on 10/04/2019 15:42:
Alan Gorham_
I think all the above advice might be academic as I seem to remember that the design of the 6EX only provides for a switched 6th channel and not a proportional channel, so you might be wasting your time. Brian Hammond
Thanks both of you,but I seem to remember now that Alan is correct.
