flytilbroke
I have just had the same experience with Like TSR2? Watch this As recently happened on the "cold weather" thread. Quite strange ? PS I should have said it goes to the message box when clicked, not the content.Edited By flytilbroke on 09/12/2010 21:35:
Wingman
Yeah FTB I've had that prob but find if I click on "add posting" you get taken to the start of the thread and you can carry on from there.
Colin Bernard
Just tried that and all that happened was it added a post from me - but I still can't see anything !
Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
Just tried this Colin - it seems to be OK for me Though I know that#s not much help to you! We'll keep an eye on it - anyone else getting "funnies" on the TSR2 thread please report them here. BEB PS Perhaps its the "spooks"!? Plummet
Wait a bit. The missing content will be on WikiLeaks soon. Plummet
Bruce Richards
I have missing content on the TSR2 thread. All I can see is add a post box.
Bob Cotsford
I can't see content on any longish thread, eg Cafe. That's on Firefox and IE6, I don't know at what point it goes from showing threads to just the reply box, but I definitely think it's down to the number of posts in the thread. Bruce Richards
I have no problems with the Cafe or other long threads just the TSR 2. Firefox 3.6.13Edited By Bruce Richards - Moderator on 10/12/2010 17:13:
David Ashby - Moderator
It might be wirth upgrading your IE browser Bob but I'll make enquiries too.
Bob Cotsford
Sorry David but I'm using Firefox 3.6.13 - I think you will find that is as recent as you can get? I could believe it's lack of backward compatibility on IE6 at work (no option to upgrade, many corporate installations stick with IE6 because it is predictable) but that still hints at poor design not to work on older browsers. I'll have to try booting up Windows 7 on the home pc to see if IE9 does the same.Edited By Bob Cotsford on 10/12/2010 16:31:
Bob Cotsford
funny - Multiplex Fun Cub, 304 posts and it displays, Sign of the Times 330ish posts and just the reply box, DB Sport And Scale - Cirrus Moth 349 posts and they display, so it's not the number of posts.Edited By Bob Cotsford on 10/12/2010 16:38:
Bob Cotsford
same on Win7/IE8, The Cafe and Signs of the Times won't display.
flytilbroke
I doubt it is my IE version that is the problem. The symptoms are the same as a known problem with another thread now re-started under another heading. More push to the overworked Website Guru's Bosses? A problem solved early is usualy better then a worse one later?
David Ashby - Moderator
Fix on the way although not sure how soon - soonish. It's all due to some members accidentally 'ignoring' other members which throws the post count out.
