Alex Leigh
To Deans preferred. But other options available. Can find extension cables but nothing that'll mate with my charger. Ta

Alex Leigh
It's due to where it was hosted... sorry try this Std balancer but the plug is a 2 pin which isn't like anything I've seen before. I think this is the same: http://www.giantcod.co.uk/mini-jstxh-wire-extension-10cm-p-404516.html which would act as an extender, but that's not what I need. Ultymate
So cut it off and fit a Deans if as you say in your OP that is what you want
Martin Harris - Moderator
That's either some mighty wiring or a very small LiPo... Why not whip the funny connector off and use your favourite plugs and sockets? Sorry Ulty - you beat me to it while I was typing! Alex Leigh
Can't do that. Female end is attached to the ESC and it's integral! I suppose I could somehow extend the ESC side and then change both ends but there's not much room for anything bigger.Edited By Alex Leigh on 13/12/2010 17:19:
Steve W-O
Charge it through the balance connector, it is small, so the wires will take the load.
Kozmyk
You could take one of those extension leads and put 4mm bullets OR 4mm banana plugs on the charger end. Or Deans of course. OR You could buy one of these Multi Charge Lead Edited By Kozmyk on 13/12/2010 17:55:
Alex Leigh
Thanks all. One of those plans will work.

Alex Leigh
Just for clarity, this is what I need to charge!Edited By Alex Leigh on 14/12/2010 09:53:

As Steve says, can't see a problem with that, Alex, you don't need to connect the main leads on a battery of this size. It'll save a lot of messing about with the plug. My charger reports a connection fault if I don't connect the main discharge leads; it's a LiPro Quad 6.I'd be interested to learn if there was a way around this. Connect the main leads to the balance leads, the two end balance leads got to the main leads anyway. Just make sure you know which lead is which, or you might end up with some excess heat or flames. I see you're logic there but that's just another way of adapting the main lead route as opposed to just using the balance leads on their own.It doesn't really matter to me as I make up the necessary adaptors as required. I was just curious to see if it could be done with my charger in case I encountered a battery with incompatible main connectors..

Yes it is just another way to adapt the main lead, but my suggestion was in reply to the OP, and balance leads are easy to obtain, so he would not need to find a connector for his main leads. There are chargers that can charge through the balance lead. Again, by adapting an easy to get balance connector, you can charge a battery with "incompatible" main connectors.
