Peter Miller
My First attempt at radio was the old ECC telecommander. Spend hours setting the sensitivity and the current drop, when it finally worked start the engine and it went berserk. Never did fly R/C until the RCS Guidance System came out. That worked OK

Peter Miller
The ECC had a hand held Tx. Cost a tenner which was a heck of a lot of money. In those days you didn't have different colours, even the Guidance Sytem was 27 Mhz and only one at a time in the air. All super regen stuff. Peter Miller
The Guidance System Tx was tiny, only about 7" high, 3 deep and 4 1/2" wide. I bought mine in 63. IT had a swith and a push button on the front. I was flying a Matador with mine when the plastic bezel on the push buttong broke and the button vanished inside. By the time I had clawed the back off and got the button out the model had vanished.. It was returned an hour or so later by two small bay who got a pound for their trouble. A lot of money back then.
