Bob Cotsford
rented club field (IC & leccy, 12 miles), rented 'group' field (anything hand launched, 8 miles), rented club field (#2, small leccy, 7 miles) or council approved public land(anything), mainly the first now. It all depends how the mood takes me!

Martin Harris - Moderator
An far-sighted decision by the then committee and membership to commit £5000 to the purchase of an old sewage works (don't worry, the filter beds were long gone!) in 1982 plus a lot of hard work since has resulted in the beautiful field we fly from today. James40
There's been a great deal of polls of late David, what's all this info gathering going towards?
David Ashby - Moderator
Nothing towards James, just a new feature to play with, the results can be interesting too of course. flytilbroke
Just voted the Private land option. Not really the truth though as we have two sites, one allowing three days flying although not on a Sunday, rent free. The other site is Electric only on Saturday, and Electric and IC on Sunday, this site we pay rent on.Edited By flytilbroke on 27/07/2011 22:50:

Slopetrashuk
In the interest of fairness, and as an assumed champion of the cause, I can't help noticing that the poll put together by the powered flying southerner omits to include the option of 'Off a great big mountain'.That is all.Andy Ellison

Turbycat
I mainly fly from a patch rented by our club. However, when I visit my parents in Lincolnshire, I also get the luxury of a 10 acre grass field all to myself Andy

Tom T
I'm laughing but I have know idea what you are on about. Petrol heads at a field for the win but I wouldn't mind trying slope soaring. I might get the chance while i'm in wales if not in October when i'm in Wales again. Hmm.....
David Ashby - Moderator
Yes, quite right Martin, the questions were supposed to cover all disciplines - hill, flat etc.
Slopetrashuk
Well, it was of course a joke but as there seems to be a sense of humour failure in owd farts corner I will point out that 'mainly' is not a word often used on the slope as we are quite dependent on wind direction and strength. May as well ask us which direction the wind mainly blows! With more often than not a mixed bag to choose from sites can be a good mixyure of public, private, national trust, open access, restricted access or common land.Probably best though not to over-think it if your brain is addled by methanol!
