Just found this on Youtube This . Inspired to build a motorglider also fancy being able to go flying in my pants . Secondly where the heck is he flying , looks like he's on a holiday park flying over buildings and a picnic site must be a health and safety nightmare makes me shudder to think what may happen if there is a problem. Nice flying though...

Could be worse.....it could have been a nudist resort......

Actually I took a quick look at the VMAR RF4 on the Macgregor site....looks a very nice model...designed for 300watt electric system..80in span all for £90....thats not bad is it?? I fancy building one of Peter Millars RF4s but I doubt I could do it for 90 quid....

Obviously I'd have to modify it slightly so I could fit an IC engine.....

I'd think twice about that, Steve - mine flies OK on leccy but it is a very lightly-built model, made of thin-sliced pallet (well, it doesn't look much like balsa!) and I suspect an IC would shake it to bits in very short order..........

I've found the u/c seems to have been made of spaghetti and it really needs a thicker gauge wire. Terry Walters has beefed his up and it's a lot better.

Mine weighs in at 3lb 2oz, a lot lighter than PM's version, and it has a greater wingspan at 80". There's a thread on the Fournier here.

Might be better sticking to the PM version.......
