cymaz
All very artistic. How does a club/individual go about designing a logo? Are special programs needed? I was going to put forward at the next club meeting about having a new logo.

Just a bit of artistic skill. One can design a logo with all straight lines that look very effective, then a circle round it with the lettering round the circle or even a square with the lettering on some of the sides. Ian Jones
Posted by Martyn K on 25/05/2012 15:26:17: Here is ours - I suspect the design is attributable to Ian Jones of T shirt fame A Cheshire Cat of course (South Cheshire RC Society) regards Martyn Thanks for the credit Martyn, actually I don't recall the exact origin of the design, it was passed on to me (by a then committee member) to be used as a logo on T shirts etc. Unfortunately it was a very blurred and noisy jpeg which is where I did in fact put in a great deal of work cleaning up the main logo area and adding in new lettering for the club name, it took ages but it worth it. It won’t be me making the final choice though.

cymaz
They were like that up until the early 80’s. We have buzzards that visit regularly when we fly and we fly for fun. Also I love biplanes!

Peter Miller
Oh Yes. You know I went to St Austell in about 1956. I had bought my first motorcycle when I got to St Mawgan. An ex WD Royal Enfield 350. I still have nightmares about that bike!! I rode down to St Austell and visited the model shop in the old covered market place and then went to the cinema and saw a most awful film. The name slips my mind but it was loosely based an a Neville Shute book. Funny how some things stick in ones mind...unfortunatey!!! I refer to the film, not St Austell.
