Richard Harris
I designed and made this to entertain the kids at a halloween party, went down a treat. Managed to capture a bit of video up at the field, please dont take it to seriously. I have drawn up a PDF of this and just need to add the CG position and servo locations etc. If anyone is interested I can add it over on 'another forum' as a free download. Its just 6mm depron, tape a small piece of light ply and a carbon rod...oh and a bit of daftness! Martin Harris - Moderator
Must be a Harris thing - it's become a tradition for me to dig this out around Halloween - it actually survived two outings unscathed this year! I can't claim any credit for the design - it was an old Nigel Hawes free plan that I spotted on Ebay. It has an all-flying bat (called Kevin on the plan) for pitch control and was designed for a Cox .049 It's a bit of a turn up for the books for me to electrify a Hawes design - usually I'm tempted to go the other way! Sorry I don't have any video of it flying but it causes a fair amount of amusement each year. This is how it looks now after a few spooktacular crashes and reincarnations over the years! Richard Harris
With a little help from a Mod I hope to get the Plan completed and available for all as a free download There is also it's offspring 'Batty' made from a black Pizza base, I don't have the prototype as I gave it to my 6 year nephew as a chuck glider!! I can also get this added if anyone wants to entertain their kids/grandchildren? Slots together with a bit f blue tack as nose weight, the TE has a bit of reflex bent in. My Nephew has also set me a challenge which I hope t get going by xmas, should be a laugh!!...no clues..HO HO HO!! Rich
