Dave Bran
Just had both Lancs LOW over my house while they were on wide cct ex Eastbourne 15:00 (their first paired show I think) for Biggin Hill 15:45 avoiding worst of showers. VERA was RIGHT over the top, wheels down, starting to bank starboard.

Mike Etheridge 1
Saw both the Lancasters today at the Eastbourne display. They were accompanied by two Spitfires, one with clipped wings. Earlier in the free show there was both a Spitfire MK1 and afterwards a Mustang performing. We unfortunately were located at Beachy Head and got a good view of the flying but other than the Spitfire MK1 none of the other planes flew close enough to get any reasonable photographs. Colin Leighfield
Stunning and very emotional for me. Did anyone see Carol Kirkwood doing the weather on BBC1 this morning from Biggin Hill using the two Lancasters as the background? It was brilliant because they were interviewing and describing the history as well. PA474 is going to look very lonely after its' Canadian sister goes home. Let's make the most of it while we can. Dylan Reynolds LaserCraft Services
I have heard they will be doing a fly past over Windermere soon, but cannot find any details of when anywhere, does anybody know if this is true or when it is scheduled for? I would hate to miss it.

John Privett
Posted by Dylan Reynolds LaserCraft Services on 15/08/2014 13:16:30: I have heard they will be doing a fly past over Windermere soon, but cannot find any details of when anywhere, does anybody know if this is true or when it is scheduled for? I would hate to miss it. The schedule (as previously posted several pages ago) is here. The Windermere flypast is scheduled for Sunday September 7. And I've just realised there's a local (to me) flypast this Sunday at Kenley.

Currently just south of Dartford heading ENE at 181knots at 1000 feet. Departure was from Biggin, initially headed SW tothe M25, then turned back - now approaching Gravesend. Here's the link I'm using. Edited By John Privett on 16/08/2014 11:40:
John Privett
Today's itinerary takes in Eastbourne, Littlestone (Kent), Headcorn (also Kent) and Old Warden - though I don't know in what order! Currently over the Thames just passed Canvey Island heading 81 degrees at 500 feet and 193 knots.

Martin Whybrow
Both Lancasters made an appearance at the Flying Proms at Old Warden this evening; I was standing in the car park of a supermarket in Sandy and they flew directly overhead; what a sight and what a sound. Stood and watched them doing passes over Old Warden until they headed off north east.
