servos - matched but opposite

A friend of mine has asked me to help him with a problem with a glider.

The ailerons are OK, but the flaps need servos that turn in opposite directions. I have already pointed him towards a servo reverser.

However, I understand that servos from different manufacturers may turn in different directions.

Do any of you folk know of pairs of servos that are matched as far as power, speed and angle are concerned, but opposite in direction?

Or do any manufacturers sell matched pairs?

Can he put them on different channels and do a mix?

No - he has old and very basic radio kit. (No not 27MHz.)

I already know about servo reversers - I am asking about matched servos rather than the reversers. (And I have already been through the procedure for rewiring a server to reverse it.)

Can you-he not just use a matched pair the same way and reposition servo or horn ?

John

Well...

He is a flyer more than a modeller. I am not worried about reversing a servo or hacking a servo mount, but he is less enthusiastic. To a large extent I am asking the question in order to have an easy answer for the future.

The Hitec v. Futaba thing looks good. Do all servos have similar movement ranges? If so, and as long as they are the same speed and their arms can be matched then... the jobs a goodun.

use non digi one and reverse the wires on motor and pot

Been there, done that, (and got slagged off on the forum for bothering to do it!)

As I have said - its not me but a friend who is not into that sort of thing!
