Dave Hopkin
Wonder how much those hunks of Balsa would cost these days.... Amazing Aircraft, but I recall my Father talking the chances of the crew surviving any sort of crash landing were pretty minimal, he recalled watching several of them go up in smoke very quickly during the war

John Miller 4
I'm in it now from you know who. Just spent an enthralling 45 min's instead of doing what I had been told to do. Never mind she will just have to get over it (she's not looking is she?)

Jon H
I have this on video as I recorded it off the tv years ago. I have been trying to figure out how to get it off the video and onto a dvd but now it seems I don't need to!
Prop Nut
Interesting to see that one of the manufacturers shown was Dancer and Hearne of High Wycombe. I spent a while in the furniture industry in the town and was fascinated to hear some of the old craftsmen talk about making Mosquito sub-assemblies in the War. My Mother-in-Law worked in the dope shop of the factory where I later worked, which was requisitioned by the Ministry of Aircraft Production in 1939 for the use of Phillips and Powis Aircraft Ltd, who were associated with Fred Miles, of Miles Aircraft fame, and who made Mosquitos. Thanks for the link Danny.

As the man said, "that curious tropical timber". (12:37). How many of us have a stock of curious tropical timber? Mark Melluish
Completely useless information: The background music to this film is composed by Eric Spear who also wrote the theme to Coronation Street - just so you know
