Any recommendations for cheap but not too nasty RC gear?

I don't know if anyone makes a 2 channel system these days except those made for RC cars which might be worth looking into. One RC plane system that is cheap yet still good quality is OrangeRx. I don't use it myself, but several people in my club do and they are very happy with them. Hobbyking carries them and they also carry some budget own-brand radios and some car gear.

Thanks chaps. There is some cheap gear out there. The school want the pupils to build a number of craft so we need new gear to insure a level playing field, as it were.

Loads of DX5's on fleabay seem to be going for around the £30 mark, Orange RX from hobby king.......

As for 2 Ch, for a hover craft wont you need 3 Chs? Steering, vertical lift motor, horizontal motor......

Dave, they would be intergrated craft with a single fan/motor, 30% of the air is ducted off for lift and skirt pressure 60% goes at the back for thrust.
