..
Why do people "watch" an item on eBay that's Buy it now or best offer?? Ok so many of us may have watched an auction item out of interest to see how much it sells for but with a best offer you won't ever know what it went for so what's the point ? Monz
Because I might not want to buy it now, but buy it next week.
Geoff S
It's an easy way of finding it again if you're looking at other options. I've done it occasionally. Geoff
Bob Cotsford
you may have one to sell and want to know whether the advertised item went at the price asked.

leccyflyer
Exactly - it helps to find an article to come back to later. Such as, if you intend bidding on an auction item, for which there is another listing as a Buy It Now, that can be a backstop for an auction you didn't win. Gordon Nicol
It's like going into your local model shop and asking if you can have a look at the kit before you buy it, then go off and beg SWMBO to let you ......all my stuff is buy now, never had a problem or concern , my last spitfire had 500 views and 15 on the watch list, sold just before it ended Edited By Gordon Nicol on 22/04/2015 08:44:01 Edited By Gordon Nicol on 22/04/2015 08:44:
Andy Meade
As above - I watch it so I can talk the other half round to eventually releasing me the funds
